Good Points: Solid, comfortable, and roomy - without being an MPV.
Bad Points: Tyre wear, economy
General comments: Whilst there is no doubt that this Peugeot 307 2.0 HDi 110 Rapier is a very practical family car there are two strange failings. The first is in the published fuel economy for the diesel engine. Forget any thoughts of doing 54mpg (the published combined figure). Think more of 40mpg. And I drive gently. This is one of the most thirsty diesels I have ever owned (My last Saab 2.2Tid did 41mpg and is a much bigger car). The other failing is tyre wear. The fronts wear at about 15,000 miles. I do about 30k per year (and much motorway work!) so new tyres twice a year. Ouch!
