Good Points: Good reliability and not very expensive to service or repair when needed.
Bad Points: Oil seal on gear box is only weakness and the most common problem. Around £900 to put right.
General comments: I am a boring 42 year old accountant and i have a Porsche Carrera 4S. can't wipe the stupid grin from my face every time I fire it up. Yes I am ashamed!
Whoever owns a Porsche 911 without a sports exhaust should also be ashamed. In my view an essential add-on.

Excellent handling, sleek sport looks, goes and goes and goes, mileage on trips is very good (23MPG). Sweet ride, coolest, fastest, sexiest car I have ever owned (so far).

Whilst the Porsche 996 911 Carrera 4 S is one of the few cars of this sort which can really be used every day, it is an expensive car and the Porsche warranty is a good investment. Xenon lights and sports exhaust are regarded as worthwhile options.

If you like driving then you will love this 911, £30K cheaper than a Turbo.
Just get one.
