I ordered my 2004 911 996 C4S from the factory in Guards Red with tan interior. It has just 28,600 miles on the odometer and it has been a great car! It's just a beautiful design. I even like it better than the newest 911s (which are very nice). I have the factory sport exhaust and I just love the roar of the engine. It also handles great and is as solid as the day I took delivery. I hope to be able to keep this car forever as it just gets better--and rarer--with age.

amazing looks even against more modern 911s with the styling combo from turbo and c4.997 gen 1s just dont compare as they dont share as much cosmetically with there turbo cousins as the 996 c4s did.also was only in production for 3 years which make it a much rarer car and dont forget that stunning rear the 996 c4s had with red reflector.performence also amazi

996 c4s is without doubt the best 911 ever produced - stunning in every respect

Over all, the car was my dream, now it is my reality, and I can't ever imagine owning anything other than a 911. It really is a car that you should never drive unless you can own, because once you have felt the power, the seduction of this vehicle you'll be hooked, and honestly, you will want one! So you've been warned.
Advice, buy the nicest one you can physically afford you wont regret it!

I am a boring 42 year old accountant and i have a Porsche Carrera 4S. can't wipe the stupid grin from my face every time I fire it up. Yes I am ashamed! Whoever owns a Porsche 911 without a sports exhaust should also be ashamed. In my view an essential add-on.

Excellent handling, sleek sport looks, goes and goes and goes, mileage on trips is very good (23MPG). Sweet ride, coolest, fastest, sexiest car I have ever owned (so far).

All weather every day supercar that puts a smile on your face every time you drive it!

Whilst the Porsche 996 911 Carrera 4 S is one of the few cars of this sort which can really be used every day, it is an expensive car and the Porsche warranty is a good investment. Xenon lights and sports exhaust are regarded as worthwhile options.

Have driven several 911's and they always leave me cold.

Bought TVR Sagaris - much more like it!!!
Yes it has flaws but it also turns heads and gets admiring glances in a way that no 911 porsche ever could.
All I ever got from people when I owned a 911 was muted interest and jokes but the Sagaris draws a crowd and they all have something to say good or bad it cannot be ignored.
So if you want an executive toy that says I have made it then buy the Porsche but if you want a fun packed, head turning sports car look elsewhere and I recommend TVR's.

Whats the point of a review like this with no content fron someone who is clearly prejudiced to begin with? Totally unhelpful.

If you like driving then you will love this 911, £30K cheaper than a Turbo. Just get one.

This review is rubbish! It tells the viewer nothing. 'Just get one'. What, like a packet of biscuits? Anyone who can afford one of these cars would be more articulate than this. Meaningless drivel.

Don't ever, under any circumstances, "just get" anything that costs £70,000 until you've done some research. That's why I'm here, reading this - wasting my time as it turns out.

So did you ever own one? Or are you just a tyre kicker with a small wallet and a green streak? Poor review.
