Good Points: Sleek looks, incredible all-weather handling, the incredible performance, the sound when revved makes the hair of the back of my neck raise, what more can I say?

Bad Points: General running costs, an interior that doesn't really compliment the imagine of such a great sports car, kinda underwhelming after looking at the car from the outside.

General comments: Over all, the car was my dream, now it is my reality, and I can't ever imagine owning anything other than a 911. It really is a car that you should never drive unless you can own, because once you have felt the power, the seduction of this vehicle you'll be hooked, and honestly, you will want one! So you've been warned.Advice, buy the nicest one you can physically afford you wont regret it!

I am a boring 42 year old accountant and i have a Porsche Carrera 4S. can't wipe the stupid grin from my face every time I fire it up. Yes I am ashamed!
Whoever owns a Porsche 911 without a sports exhaust should also be ashamed. In my view an essential add-on.

Excellent handling, sleek sport looks, goes and goes and goes, mileage on trips is very good (23MPG). Sweet ride, coolest, fastest, sexiest car I have ever owned (so far).

Whilst the Porsche 996 911 Carrera 4 S is one of the few cars of this sort which can really be used every day, it is an expensive car and the Porsche warranty is a good investment. Xenon lights and sports exhaust are regarded as worthwhile options.

All in all, the 911's Tiptronic is a fantastic automatic. In spite of all that, I'd order my Carrera 4 with the manual gearbox for its superior control, superior performance and superior fun.
