    Pre-ordered game a week before it was released. Play GUARANTEED delivery on release date but game arrived 2 DAYS LATE! What is the point? Play promised compensation and said a manager would call back but have not had nor heard anything. They have really let themselves down. Thought they were a fab company but over the past year really gone downhill. Won't be ordering from them again.

    I have NEVER had a problem with Play - orders placed, paid for and received UNTIL I changed my debit card...card declined twice (now rectified)...bank recommended I ring Play's CS to let them now problem is sorted...only to find I was talking to someone whose grasp of English was rudimentary, got my ordernumber wrong 4 times and then chose to stay silent!!! Spoke to another 2 people and could not make myself understood!!! Ended up hanging up on them!!! Diabolical service over the phone!!!

    Beware - These guys are based in Jersey outside of UK vat and other legislation - It is a nightmare to get a proper receipt out of them as if the item is over £18 and shipped to the UK from Jersey they have to pay UK VAT on the sale, this is how they get to be cheaper than other suppliers - by evading uk vat - I understand the Jersey goverment have given companies like them that are exploiting this EU tax loophole 12 months to pack up and get out as it is bringing Jersey into disrepute - ...

    Just an update on my blackberry. The delivery company have lost it and cheerfully said so. I had to tell play who just send a query. I asked for my money back 5 days ago and I am still waiting for that as well. Just get a bunch of asian call centre people who have been trained excellently to ensure you get rubbish customer service. Beware of this company as I am despairing of getting my money back despite contacting trading standards. Luckily I payed on credit card so they will get stung or hope ...

    i purchased this wii game after looking around for ages to find somewhere where it was still in stock. i appreciate the game is 2 years old, but did eventually find it for more than i wanted to pay,but i thought, why not as its new. well guess what, it wasnt new, the cover had no protective plastic celophane on , the box was scratched and the disc scratched also.as it arrived while i was away on holiday, it has gone over the 7 day returns policy. i wont be ordering from here again.

    Pre ordered MW2, Didn`t arrive on release date as advertised. Not a happy bunny, will be sending both copies straight back. You pay the full whack when preordering a game knowing full well the supermarkets will have it in cheaper. And the only reason is so you can play the game on release day.
    Tesco managed it, Amazon did, CD-WOW, Game and HMV all got my game to me on time in the past. Play.com failed It`s a shame I have to give them one star they shouldn`t get any

    i like play.com. i got two games that i found out would havecosted $50 at walmart but$40 at play! 4.8 stars.or it would have costed 59.99 at target!

    Ordered a blackberry 9 days ago to replace my phone on the instructions of my insurance company. Tracked the order to Droitwich with Home delivery network. They do not know why it is still in Droitwich. Play.com could not care less and left me to do all the work. Their customer care department takes 72 hours to respond to complaints. I would suggest you steer clear of Nationwide Home insurance as well.

    I used to love this site, however recently the quality of Play UK has fallen considerably.
    I wanted to purchase 2 items, sennheiser headphones and a razer mouse. The headphones arrived promptly and efficiently, however I was still waiting for the mouse 4 weeks later. As well as this, when tracking the state of your purchase, there is no email address which is picked up by a human.     Pre- Ordered Dj hero and the day it was released they havnt even despatched it. I phoned them up and they say that they will only despatch on the day of release?? Why pre-order to wait after the game has been released in order to get the game. I could have just gone to asda or somewhere and bought it from there. Does anybody have an e-mail to contact them??

    Having placed an order for a mouse, five days later there was still no confirmation of delivery. After calling their customer service, they helpfully informed me that they had no idea when it would be dispatched. Order canceled. Not recommended.

    BEWARE! The price of this item is jumping between £160 and £200, this happened to me when I was in the middle of ordering it, but they still insisted I would have to pay £200! I eventually managed to complete an order at the lower price, but Play are suspiciously not despatching the goods.     worst ever online retailer, in fact i am not sure if they are retailer at all. Norton Ghost ordered it says dispatched more than 3 weeks ago but nothing delivered and i have to wait for 21 working days for query this, lucky not 21 years!!

    Hi there, i PRE-ORDERD fifa 10 on the 18th , 2 days before its release date.. And im still waitung it has been over a month and nothing has arrived- the customer service is poor n offer to refund the game after a further twenty one days from present. Im really frustrated that i have to wait more then a month for a pre-ordered game.. I wud never order from play.CON again ... And wud not afvise any1 to... I wud say stick with amazons ..

    I would stay well clear of Play.com who are happy to tell you anything to take your order knowing that they dont have stock of the item.

    When the item fails to turn up, you have no choice but to call the company. Oh dear....this is soul-destroying task as you speak to some dis-interested robot who reads from the same nonsense script everytime. I called about 10 times and I was told on each occasion over 4 weeks that my phone would be dispatched within 3-4 days!! I asked to speak to manager, but ...

    I have ordered just about everything from this site over the last three years and I have never had a single issue with either items arriving or there customer service when you phone up, they are always helpful and diligent, they even go out of their way to help even when it is not their issue.

    Shocking service, goods never arrived, took several weeks to get any response from them about replacements, before finding out they were no longer available, then took several weeks to get a refund

    I ordered a book 10 days ago that was in stock, but am still waiting for it to be despatched. I phoned customer services 4 days ago. Waited ages for the phone to be answered by someone who said they would contact the warehouse and I would have an answer within 48 hrs. Despite 2 further e-mails and after reading recent reviews, I have cancelled my order. This company used to be great for despatch and receipt of orders. Will not be using again.
