Good Points: Good for a small family.
General comments: I have owned by Honda Jazz for five years, it is a 2002 se sport model. I would describe it as mediocre. The first fault it had was the alloy wheels corroding like mad, which meant the tyres went down due to a bad seal on the rim. It had piston slap from about 43000 miles, despite a full service history and regular oil changes with magnatex. The EGR valve packed in at 52000 another three hundred quid and the clutch started to slip at 53000 miles. Bodywork is easily dented and the 50mpg, well , i have never got that. Not as reliable as my skoda fabia and really i expected more. Some serious faults for a well serviced car with a current 55000 miles on the clock. Seemingly the gear boxes have problems too but when that happens its getting sold.

My Honda Jazz 1.4i SE Sport leaks like a sieve. The dealer is unable to find fault, and is no longer interested.

Having had the Honda Jazz now for 7 months, I would like to know very much, how people who say they can get incredible mpg out of the Jazz get it! I certainly cannot! On long runs I get no more than 41mpg, and that's usually going between 70 and 80mph. I have had the car checked for any faults, and of course none were found. It seems to get these figures in Honda's.

The Honda Jazz 1.4i SE Sport family car is a truly groundbreaking car. People are speechless when they get in, my girlfriend tells her friends it's a 'great big honda', but when I took a tape measure to it it's only 2 inches longer than her mk3 fiesta. I've moved house in this car and it was a doddle. Anyone who overlooks this car really doesn't know what they're missing, I can't believe so many other cars of this size actually sell more - 206s, puntos, clios, corsas etc. Top Gear magazine gave ...

We have had our Honda Jazz 1.4i SE Sport family car (in red) for two weeks. I took it to Norwich and back with 4 people in and did 52 mpg (without using the aircon which I had heard increased fuel consumption). Coming back I used the aircon and got 51 mpg so very pleased there. On the motorway the car was very lively up to 80 mph (it does just under 3000 rpm at 60 and about 3400 at 70. Overtaking at 80 gets the engine in the power band but it's not noisy at these revs. It's a very nice car.

The Honda Jazz 1.4i SE Sport without a doubt is a fantastic car. With its rear multi folding seats, itsone of the most practical cars around. It's nicely built and quite spacious. It's fuel consumption is sensational giving around 50mpg in summers.
However at high speed it can get a bit noisy, and its not the most comfortable thing.
