Good Points: Great work of late Bruce Bernard covering of a century events is not a simple job. Great sensetivity to people.
Bad Points: Neglecting very important Middle East events with world wide impact.
General comments: Bruce Bernard, Century: One Hundred Years of Human Progress, Regression, Suffering and Hope 1899-1999: The Middle East crisis is one of the most important one in the 20th Century. The book neglects the decision for establishment of a country Israel in 1947 by the UN vote. There is no picture covering the independence war of Israel in 1948 where Israel fighted against many Arabs countries. The book also neglects the Yom-Kipur war in 1973. All those events had a strong impact on the whole world. Thousands of people were killed, the geo political map was changed, but nothing is mentioned.
