Good Points: Plays CD's, VCD's, MP3 CD's and regular DVD's without problems.
Bad Points: Skips horribly on DVD-R's or just won't play them at all.
General comments: I had no problems with this player for about 3 months until I started using DVD-R's. It skipped on all of them and when I tested them in 3 other players they worked fine. Definately don't buy this if you are even concidering playing DVD-R's.

I bought this 5 CD / DVD changer based on the performance of my SD-2800 DVD / CD player. What I liked about the 2800 was it did random play for CDs and MP3s ... the 2815 does not. I called Tech support and told them what I was seeing, and was told: "None of Toshiba's DVD / CD players support random play of MP3, and they knew of no other product that did!" Was I lying to them when I told them that my 2800 did? I don't think so.
I would think that a more sophisticated model like the 2815 wou ...- Read Butch's review (116 words)

not a bad player, but little to distinguish itself from it's cheaper cousin available at Sams for $120, both have sonic defects when playing vcd files that were made with audio synchronization, the synch marks cause high frequency notes or dips in volume, other material played fine- Read bigoil's review (70 words)

First day playing a DVD movie, this Toshiba SD 2815 DVD layer would skip ahead to other scenes. Tested DVD in other units DVD & computer. DVD played fine. Will return the unit to the retailer. The carousel creates a deeper unit, probably will not fit on standard entertainment shelves.- Read crujoe's review (66 words and 1 comment)

Please post any movies that do not backup with v1.2.1 or 1.2.2 HERE
My DVD player is a Toshiba SD-2815 (5 disc changer) if this would help anyone. I'm real close to asking for a refund. THis is just really not worth all the frustration.
