    Showed interest in Safersurf's services with specific purposes due to high volume surfing requirements. Not knowing if they could help I must have given them too much information. The unfortunate situation occured: I never received the details I inquired about - just nothing. A very poor service - as I still don't understand what they do. They never explained that to me.

    Being a non-techy, I inquired about how to install the service and had further questions about what the product actually would do for me. I have not yet received an answer - just 50Euros taken from my account. I am not happy with this service and do not recommend safer surf.

    If you surf from time to time and you do not have too much mail or web traffic then this service is something to think about.
    Powerusers with lots of normal downloads (because DL from normal websites will be counted in the web traffic limit) I can not recommend the service.
    If the proxy settings would be configurable to exclude some websites from running over the proxy it would be great.
    However all stands and falls with the 2000 MB limit they impose (its in the AGBs ).
    An extra 1000 MB cost ...

    Great anti-virus service with many features: anti-virus, anti-spam, warning if you download exe files. You don't install the anti-virus software on your computer, it's all on their proxy server, and they take care of the updates and everything. They now also offer Speed, this is really FAST, even if you just have a modem.

    SaferSurf is a new type of antivirus service. They scan everything online for viruses, even emails. I have tested it, it works - it even filtered out a bugbear virus in my mail BEFORE I downloaded it. Their website is www.safersurf.com/english. Antivirus for internet is 2 euros a month, the same for email. They have special offer with 25% off at the moment.
