“When did Amazon start an open policy of being untrue...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ShadleighTerenceBrown on 24/12/2023

I ordered an item from Amazon with guaranteed delivery today. At 12h31 I received a message that delivery had been attempted. It clearly had not been and when querying this I was advised that the driver was new to the area, and in an age of GPS has been unable to locate my home. I was advised that the delivery would be rescheduled, but they could not tell me when. Later I was advised that there was a problem dispatching the order, that the order had been re-attempted for delivery and that the order was not due for delivery... What happened? who broke Amazon..

“Terrible service ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by JulianaVaillant on 13/12/2023

I purchased a product using Amazon Prime on November 25th, hoping to take advantage of the promise of fast delivery that comes with the subscription. However, my experience has been anything but efficient and satisfactory. The product not only failed to arrive on the promised date, but after a wait of 18 days, on December 13th, I am faced with the frustrating news that my order might have been lost. The most disappointing part of all is the solution that Amazon offers. Despite being a Prime customer, all they propose is to send another product and wait at least another week. This means that, in the best-case scenario, I will receive my mobile phone a month after the original purchase date. Paying for Amazon Prime implies expecting a service of quality, efficiency, and quick solutions. In my case, they not only lost my product, but they have also made me lose valuable time. The trust I had in Amazon Prime has been seriously affected by this experience, and I am forced to reconsider whether it is worth continuing to pay for this service

“Amazon do not recognise UK consumer rights ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by kitcat72 on 23/11/2023

Absolutely impossible to enforce your statutory rights under UK consumer law. Policies provided to “customer” service agents in foreign countries are inadequate at best and misleading at worst. They have no knowledge or understanding of The Consumer Rights Act 2015. Managers and “teams” are unable to communicate outside of the provided script which does not include consumer laws. Even getting contact to notify them of intended prosecution for failing to uphold consumer rights over a product is impossible. You end up in a loop of quoting your statutory rights and being advised the product is out of warranty to find out your statutory rights and links to trading standards. This is all deliberately designed so that Amazon does not have to fulfil their legal obligations to consumers.

“Appalling Company ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Staffordce54 on 28/10/2023

Lazy drivers who cannot be bothered to deliver items. Prime Next day, failure, extremely lucky if you get it next day. Useless customer service, not fit for purpose, do not know what they are messaging you about and constantly misleading about deliveries. You end up taking to about 8 different people known of whom have a clue what is going on. You cannot talk directly to the customer service team, it's all done via online messaging to what would be a call center in India. Amazon just don't care, no wonder the owner wants to go to the moon to get away from all this.

Google "amazon contact us", and see what it comes up with.

Sorry but my experience does prove that Amazon rates profit over morality.

Google "Amazon LiveChat." You should get the answers you require pretty quickly. I'd have to disagree with BWF25, as I find Amazon customer services the best in the country....

Customer services on most global business (including Amazon) have the service because they are obliged by regulations, not because they want to offer it. As an obligation as little time and money as possible is allocated to this division of the business. To better achieve their goal they use diversion and camouflage. The diversion consists on hiding clear support by using the words "support and help" and then sending you in a wild goose chase. Where possible they will send you to the manufacturer site and wash their hands of you. Camouflage is used by using confusing language which doesn't necessarily mean what it says but if you were to use a Thesaurus you would find that indeed the term used has another obscure meaning relating to what you want. Dishearten many a customer will give up and be soft enough to return to buy something else. Personally I am finished with Amazon. Now they even charge you for the right to privacy on Kindle and they call it discount. Fernando
