Good Points: nice looking, good size, reliable.
Bad Points: Flimsy cover.
General comments: The Nokia 6610 is a good phone, not flash, covers are rubbish though.. prone to cracking across screen, on my 3rd one in as many months...looking to get a 3220 next I think.

I only just got a Nokia 6610, but the guy I bought it from has had it for a year. He stepped over to a different Nokia that's just a bit better.
He only once had some battery trouble last year, but got it fixed by a firmware upgrade within his warranty by Nokia.
The telephone is incredibly comfortable to use: nice size and great keypad. Typing messages is made very easy with the multi-language T9. (I'm bilingual in English and Dutch.)
I've had trouble using MMS, but that's my provider's ...- Read savvage's review (203 words)

I upgraded from a Nokia 7110 and I was able to start using the 6610 almost immediately. The battery is not as powerful as what I had on the 7110, but I usually keep it on for about a week before I have to recharge it.
The applications included are actually useful, one that I've been able to use regularly is Converter II and you can actually add your own conversion ratios, e.g: from mph to km/h. The PC Suite included is more useful than what I had for the 7110 and I can load more applications on ...- Read gphillipk's review (126 words)

I had a Nokia 6210 before this mobile phone and i have to be honest apart from a coloured screen, the Nokia 6610 was a better phone. The quality of the loud speaker is very clear and it does have many features, but i dont have much more to say about this phone. I am so glad the contract i am on is nearly finnished, so i can change it.- Read neiltopten's review (110 words)

The Nokia 6610 was my 4th Nokia mobile, having worked up from the humble 3210. Being my first colour-screen phone, I was expecting a lot from this device.
My initial impressions of the phone were quite good. The phone looked stylish as is the case with most Nokia handsets, and the phone was very easy to navigate. Again this is something that Nokia have built a reputation on in the past. However my expectations were short lived as I began to find problems with the phone.
After a couple of m ...- Read KriegeR's review (404 words)

After a week of looking for the perfect mobile phone for me, i took a chance on the Nokia 6610, and i can say i am quite happy with it. at first, the phone would shut off at will whenever i had the operator logo on. i sent it to the nokia repair centre, and it was fixed. it is now perfect, no bugs. the only bad thing is that now i cannot see my transparent op logo, but i was told it is because of the SIM card, not the phone.
the phone comes with ugly screen savers and many bad polyphoni ...- Read Fulmians's review (309 words)

Bought this Nokia 6610 mobile phone last year and after 8 months it stopped ringing, sent it off to be repaired and was told it has liquid damage. As ive never dropped it in water, they tell me it could simply be condensation, and is not covered under warranty!! So beware.
Unfortunately im not that happy with my purchase now and wont be going back to Nokia.- Read audzatstods's review (84 words and 2 comments)

This Nokia 6610 was my first phone, it is simple, has radio and very nice ringtones. It is basically a phone for people who do not want to waste their money on digital camera and all those stupid features, and who travel alot.- Read kalle999's review (51 words)

Waaaaaaaw! The Nokia 6610 is cool. Since it is my first mobile phone I was searching for something which have a colour display, no cameras, light and easy to use and not with such complicated functions. I found all these features in this Nokia 6610.- Read brix's review (54 words)

I looked at other Nokias but not being one for things that flash the Nokia 6610 fitted the bill.
The menus are similar to other Nokias so its easy to navigate through the menus.
I like the FM stereo radio, as far as gadgets are concerned this is a good addition and it sounds good.
People talk about mobiles being flimsy. I used to have a Panasonic GD67 and that had a flimsy feel to it, but despite dropping it a few times it still works fine. I've not dropped the Nokia 6610 yet but I'm s ...- Read andyuk51's review (336 words)

previous owner of 3 other 3G colour phones i must say that this Nokia 6610 is a bargain phone with best all round features, it supports java, it can be used to store photos and nice ringtones to help u personalize your phone. However i can only store a about 6 quality photos, and the rest is occupied by my ringtones.. not good, unless your okay with constantly deleting and adding new data.
sound is ok, but could be better.. had trouble playing more high end polyphonic tunes...
Also, the scree ...- Read yj's review (152 words)

The Nokia 6610 is a great Mobile phone. its just that it doesnt have a camera, but u can buy one separately if u want. this fone is really a ladies fone because it looks sophisticated and very professional. this fone can fit even on ur jeans pocket and forget that its there. it has a very nice color in the lcd, and whats even better is that u can adjust the display brightness. i also like the radio and the handsfree speaker. except it doesnt have a snake game, because im not fond of downloading ...- Read tere023's review (205 words)

I have recently bought the Nokia 6610 phone (sim free-Carphone warehouse @ £179.99), and it is great! The loudspeaker and radio are really useful features, and The screen is crisp, clear and bright. The phone has a wide range of colours (4k+), and this really shows when looking at images... Signal is great, and the microphone/speaker are also really clear. The phone looks great, and so for only £179 I got a great loooking, feature packed phone, I recommend it to anyone!!!- Read Sam B's review (105 words)

With regard to texting yes I found the same problem. The only other issue I have found like the 3310 you could assign ring tones to different numbers, this does not seem to do this which is a shame- Read saxo blues's review (47 words and 1 comment)

I bought this phone cause i thought the features were good. But in fact turned out to be a very buggy phone. I had firmware V4.74 on the phone that i had.
It simply does not work with the pc suite 5.1
I would not recommend that you buy this phone as it appears to be full of bugs. It simply does not work correctly with the pc suite 5.1
i have since returned this phone for a full refund.
I will think long and hard before ever buying a nokia phone.- Read slane2003's review (139 words)
