Good Points: A tonic for anyone who loves the outdoors.
Bad Points: None.
General comments: In 1958 I found this book at the library, then ran out and bought a copy. Cache Lake Country: Life in the North Woods remains in my library today and gets read at least once a year. As a solo teenager this book taught me about the ideas of harmony and mystery, with a simple and compelling prose. I tried the projects, loved the art of Henry Kane and retreated to that place in my mind that is Cache Lake. I could not recommend this book more highly to those who love the outdoors.
