Good Points: Of course its looks are super, the mechanism is very good BUT -

Bad Points: Like so many of these machines, you CAN NOT clean it. The genius boys get so involved in their gimmicry that they completely forget to make it easy for a HOUSEWIFE to clean.

General comments: A device which is basically an "electromagnet" retains the heating elements in the lowered (hot) postion till toasting is complete. This tiny bar eventually gets dirty through fine crumbs of bread becoming damp and then sticking to the metal, thus preventing the "electromagnet" from holding the heaters down. Because of our vastly exaggerated "safety" madnes, the screws in toasters are so designed that no ordinary "screwdriver" can open up the machine.
Does nobody realise that any housewife or CHILD can easily change fuses in an electrical plug, using an ordinary screwdriver?!?
    Safety? Don't make me laugh.

I decided to buy the TT91100GB toaster because of its sexy outer body which houses the mechanics of what i can only describe as as being out of this world. I experimented in the first few months of purchase with different bread ranging from white all the way to brown (including best of both) also experimenting with different accompaniments. After weeks of testing i have found that cooking Kingsmill white thin sliced bread using Tesco value Butter is close to heavenly. Cook at 4.5. Once it has 'm ...

Althought his toaster was received as a gift, it was incredibly expensive for very poor toasting results. The slot is not big enough to fit a standard slice of bread and although the heating elements are susposed to toast evenly -they don't - ever! I have purchased far cheaper, more efficient and durable toasters than this one.
    Looks nice though.

The Siemens TT91100GB toaster (designed by F.A Porsche) works by having two heating elements facing each other on either side of the toaster. The theory is that the curved reflective inner surface will ditribute the heat evenly, producing wonderfull results. Utter rubbish - the elements toast best in the dead centre of the machine with the toast often starting to char here, whilst it remains as dry bread at the outer edges. The pop-up mechanism works poorly with the machine needing shaking on oc ...
