bought this Pioneer A616 in 1988 as 2nd hand and still using it every day today .
It is linked to my imac without problem (listening to the radio right now on it).
could afford to buy new stuff but I can't part from this set (A616 + tlx6)

i am using exactly the same combination (A-616 and TLX6) and I would not want to change it... for stereo music I haven't found anything else that can match it.

Pioneer A616 have very accurate sound reproduction, robust built, audiophile grade components.Although the input selector gives problem due to dust built up in side of it. no remote. if u have speakers like bose 601 mk4, even then u will be astonished with its performance. its a true music lover amps. if u have some good speakers like PSB, Mission, phase technology, u will be blown away. magnificent amp for pure music lover. This Pioneer A616 is a great amplifier that really messes you up if you got some great speakers that can handle the power. I like the bass, especially when going through an equalizer. The only thing i wonder about is the new price on these babys. (read more)
