“Do not use Kwik Fit!!!”
When I was learning to drive I was insured with Kwik Fit on my car to take lessons in which was reasonably cheap at £500 for the year, which I paid in monthly installments. When I passed my test I called them to let them know straight away, and they told me that the premium would be increased (to around double). I did expect to pay more after I'd passed my test but was shocked to discover that my monthly payments had actually more than TRIPLED. They make it very difficult to cancel and every time...

I was a customer for kwick fit insurance for 2 year - haven't had much to deal with them other that to renew April 2011. When I did this there were great and match the cheapest quote i got elsewhere! there is no 14 day cooling of period. Insurance companies by law have to charge you cancellation fee's to cancel a policy, even if it has ran 1.5 days.

Just taken insurance with them but i already regret that i did, been calling them for last two weeks to sort problems out no one knows what should be my total price they have twice took money out of bank,every time i ring its is a different price and when i check the bank different amount is taken.I am fed up with them ,they forgot to mention the excess on the phone to me and documents came with complete different excess and now they have taken out a excess protection on my behalf and they told me on phone that i dont pay they will pay which is £37 ,now i am checking my bank every day to see if they honour their word i have no written letter to confirm this.I would have cancelled the policy but it they have a charge of £25 pounds even with in 14 days and £75 after 14day ,this very bad.

unaceptable customer service and a total rip off. was pursuaded to accept renewal after an address change, although it wasn't due for another month. and stupidly accepted. once i received my documents i realised i was being charged £150 interest on a £500 policy!!! tried to ring at the time i get home from work and can't get through to pay policy off in full and ad additional driver. so my policy gets cancelled as they only work 9-5.30 and then i'm being charged £220 for 14 days cover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

PLEASE be very carefully when dealing with KWIKFIT insurance in the UK. There no claims policy is a mess. “Avoid like the plague”
Having been with NFU Mutual for donkeys years my partner reckoned we could get cheaper insurance elsewhere. Quick to take the money! Kwik Fit might be the cheapest and you get good customer service, but wait until you sell your car and you have to cancel your insurance.
Everybody knows that you need to pay a cancellation fee, but when that fee is £250, a 1/3 than the value of your car, then everyone will complain.

Kwikfit decided that a further payment spead over the policy term ( not including interest) of £198.60 to my insurance but that is including £25 service charge, how considerate of them. Absolutely dreadful. As my policy was due to end i recieved a renewal quote of £2200 EXTRA per year. totalling just over £3700. I called up and told them i wouldnt be renewing. I sold my car the day before my insurance "ran out" and purchased a new one using a different insurance company. 2 months later i recieve threatening letters from debt collection agencies asking for £500. I never normally do reviews, but just honestly don't do it! I took out cover with kwikfit as they were cheapest. (I had been driving under a year at the time, so don't be fooled young drivers!) After getting Leukaemia I cancelled my direct debit as I would no longer be driving my car (and was selling it) and I got letter after letter saying I owed £52.00 cancellation fee! Changed my car and wanted to amend my insurance details. They quoted £680. Following an online quote Kwikfit was one of the best priced at £400. Out of principal I went with a different company only to find out Kwik Fit charge you a £50 cancelation fee!!!! Rip off merchants! Needless to say Kwikfit said they could have "matched" the better price but only after I had found one myself. They said they are working within the rules but as for customer service....... NONE! ...

Well what can I say apart from DO NOT TOUCH Kwik-Fit car insurance with a barge pole! These idiots have tried to renew my policy after I had stated that I do NOT want a automatic renewal. Three months after my policy has run out I am getting formal letters asking that I pay them a cancellation fee!(I reinsured with a different company).
