KWIK FIT CHARGE YOU FOR EVERYTHING, I HAD A PRIVATE NUMBER PLATE, THEY CHARGE £25 to change the policy, and check your access because on top of my £250 i would of been paying £500 extra that they dont tell you about, and when i cancelled my insurance after i sold my car, they charged me £59 aswel as taking the months insurance, the girl was rude on the phone, i was waiting 30 minutes to get through aswel. STAY WELL CLEAR. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR ACCESS IF YOUR INSURED WITH THEM.

as a new driver i was expecting a high premium, but kwik fit were cheapest on 2 different comparison sites, so i called them and they knocked another couple of hundred off the price and included excess protection.its usually scottish people i get through to and theyre always pleasant and helpful, my partner (also a new driver) had an altercation with a dog and fortunately for the dog she hit a parked car, our car was only 3 month old and due to the airbags deploying was deemed a write-off, the ...- Read Guest's review (208 words)

absolutely disgraceful do not take out insurance with Kwik Fit. I cghanged my car and they told me there was nothing additional to pay yet I got a letter asking for £69. I challenged them on this and the lies they told about the conversation that I had had with their worker Sarah page were incredible!
in the end they had to refund me more than the cost to write off the 69 so thery were fighting a pointless battle. Don't do it!!!- Read Guest's review (81 words)

Kwik Fit Car Insurance
Website was confusing regarding the 'true' cost of the insurance. Initially offered a very cheap quote via Money Supermarket then when I choose to take out the insurance it desperately tried to all additional options that I didn't want and nor had I selected earlier. Then if you choose to pay annually unlike most car insurance companies I've used in the past it then charges you an additional £10 credit/debit card fee!!
If you try to discuss anything with their cust ...- Read kemik's review (121 words)

Changed to Kwik fit for a better price than my then insurers renewal price. After first year they bumped up my policy by £100, no reason given. Then I moved! Two weeks later I was phoned and told my premium went up by £400!!! and that I had to accept this quote or pay £107 to cancel my policy. They gave me 2 hours to decide. Needles to say I went onto internet and found better price immediately. Spent over 3 hours being passed frfom pillar to post with one department saying on ...- Read Guest's review (97 words)

I took out the insurance as it was the cheapest. I added my husband tot he policy etc & then removed him when he got his own car. They failed to mention that when i added my husband they changed the underwriter which meant i lost 4 months of my no claims I had built up with them !! My payments are now £71 for 3rd party F&T !!!everywhere else quotes £37 a month ! Phoned to query why there was such a difference and got told tough !!! RUBBISH NEVER USE THEM !!!!!- Read bottommley09's review (89 words)

What a horrendous company, I am currently going through a claim where I was hit from behind and not at fault. Kwik fit and HSBC who they are underwritten by are useless. I have spent hours on the phone being passed around from company to company with no-one knowing the answers to my questions or even who to ask! I have been in tears numerous times on the phone to them as this has been a really stressful experience. It has been going through for 7 weeks now and I have had enough! My advice is to ...- Read Guest's review (126 words)

I seached the market for insurance through confused.com and kwikfit was the cheapest, so I chose the quote and got transferred over to the kwikfit website where I proceeded to the payment section and entered the debit card details for the deposit from my fathers account and my bank details for the DD payments. The window thanked me for my payment in bold letter so I closed the window and thought 'job done'. Weeks later we call to chase up the insurance documentation and are told we are not cover ...- Read joshhellon's review (222 words)

On my second year of driving I switched from Churchill to Kwik fit due to being offered a great price.
I went from 3rd party to fully comp.
In December 2007 I bumped into a car in terrible weather. I stopped and gave my details, accepting the blame.
I tried to call my insurers, then was given another number then was told to call back in the morning (Monday) to finish it. I called back, was given another number to ring and then when I finally got through they had no record of my claim so I had to ...- Read matt k's review (313 words and 1 comment)

When calling Kwik Fit it is really difficult to speak to someone. Very often was asked to call back again when they are less busy. Occasionally was put in their call back service.Very slow response from the insurance company regarding them contacting me concerning the loss of my vehicle. Accident repair centre e-mailed their report on the Monday, three days later they still have not been in contact with me.Will not be using Kwik Fit to insure my next car.- Read Izzie's review (182 words)

I was quite happy with my quote from Kwik Fit Car Insurance, but during the year I moved house and forgot to tell them, so when my insurance came up for renewal they must have taken the fact that nothing was returned from my old address as a sign that I wanted them to go ahead and insure me again.
I now have a debt recovery agency ringing me asking for cash, for a policy I have never seen and didn't want...- Read Guest's review (90 words and 1 comment)

They increased my premium without telling me. However, I managed to get cheaper; almost half price quotes from various other companies. They renewed my car insurance automatically, and within 3 days I called to cancel and they charged me an admin FEE!- Read djgat's review (43 words and 1 comment)

I initially took out a car insurance policy with Kwik-Fit as they beat my existing insurer by £80, and I get a discount card for tyres and exhausts.
When I was involved in an accident in my BMW 320i 24V coupe, I had put in a claim and was asked to provide two estimates for the claim to go ahead. After two months of not hearing anything, I received a letter saying that Kwik-Fit insurance were going to cancel my claim as they could not find the third party insurance details, even thoug ...- Read kh1975's review (232 words and 1 comment)

Kwik -Fit Car Insurance is garbage.
I got a good quote, which was cheaper than my existing insurance was. I signed the deal, but three months later they came back as they wanted more money because they couldn't (or couldn't be bothered) verify my no claims bonus. I have only ever been insured with well known companies or agents. I'm sure if I had claimed previously and not told them, they would have found out.
After managing to speak to a supervisor I was able to negotiate down to half the ...- Read TimpPete's review (129 words and 2 comments)
