i have been with tesco car insurance for 5 years now, and i have 5 years ncd so don't know how they handle claims, but i have paid them a fortune in admin fees changing my address over that time.
i threaten to leave and they they have waived it but sometimes i can't be bothered with the fight. as for the renewal price they offer someone who has given them about 3000 quid and claimed nothing, discraceful, my renewal quote is over 100 pounds higher this year , and direct line is 200 ...

Tesco Car Insurance are Reasonably priced and when I had an accident they were very easy to deal with and sorted everything out with the garage the next day. I only had to speak to them once and they were very helpful when I did.

If you try and leave Tesco car insurance you are treated on the phone with a level of aggressive rudeness that is staggering. I have now asked for my no claims bonus certificated twice over 3 weeks and have still yet to receive it - the letter requesting the outstanding balance on the account arrived with me inside 24 hour so they are clearly actively in the process of bulling customer. For existing comstomers their renewal prices are a joke, they welcome you in with a lower quaot however do not ...

Absolutely terrible service from tesco car insurance..definetely will change to another insurance company next year..somebody crash into my car half a year ago and caused minor damages and the fuuny thing is i am now the one being responsible for the accident and the other driver claimed me back instead..god..how funny is that..some of the staff were nice but the majority of them were unfriendly and just dont bothered...

We were recently involved in a road traffic accident and insured by Tesco.

Tesco Car Insurance are shocking Car insurers. i had CCTV footage proving that i was not at fault, that the other driver was on the wrong side of the road; Tesco failed to obtain this despite several phone calls stressing the urgency of the matter. ended up going through as my fault. CCTV would have proved otherwise.

I had a car accident back in December 2nd 2008.
It involved 4 cars on the motorway, where one guy admitted to falling asleep at the wheel, causing a series of collisions between the other cars...
It has now been 4 months, and they have still yet to settle who is liable to the accident.
All parties are in agreement that the liability falls in the hands of the guy who admitted to falling asleep!!!

Tesco Car Insurance handled my claim very efficiently. It was really low hassle.
It's worth getting some quotes when it comes to renewal time. They will probably drop your renewal quote when they hear others are lower.
I was really impressed with the low hassle nature of making a claim. Courtesy car arrangements were pretty flexible and low hassle.

Informed Tesco Car Insurance I wished to make a claim against the person who reversed into my car on Monday PM( it only took 10 mins ) they arranged for my car to be picked up the next day and it was repaired and back to me by the Friday afternoon (well pleased). Call centre staff very prompt in sorting out my claim , no forms to fill in all done in one short phone call. Tesco also arranged a hire car for me whilst mine was being repaired........ no cost ....plus I keep my no claims . No bad p ...

After exchanging details with other driver I thought I should inform Tesco about incident. I did and I did tell them not to make a claim. I said it loudly. Excellent customer service - call centre staff are actually interested in you and anytime I have phoned they have all been pleasant and made conversation. Fast at answering. Offer to call back if a delay to resolve the problem. UK call centers!

I have found Tesco absolutely terrible to deal with and have now cancelled my policy with them. Had accident at mini-roundabout as I was turning right due to another car not giving way and causing our cars to collide. As Claims had closed for the night, I called them the following morning to report the claim. Took out Tesco car insurance policy via the the Tesco website. On submitting at quotation level was told that they had an offer of £50 in voucher redemption. 6 weeks later no voucher called and complained was took they will look into it. Than 4 weeks later still nothing called again someone took all details and said it will be sent in 6 weeks - again nothing - called again to be told that had not put the code in hence not entitled - interesting part in on the website when buying the polic ...
