Good Points: Superfast writing (40x),reading (48x)& RW(12x); Automatic adjust to quality of each media inserted; Burnproof doubled by the big 8Mb bufer; Very good DAE speed; Laser fidelity control inovations; Big lifetime; Excellent price; Very good bundle (Nero 5.5, 40xCDR, 12xCDRW)
General comments: Bought a new Teac W540E(X) (bundle) after my (recently aquired - 3 days) LG 32/10/40 died suddenly. At the beginning I thought noisy..but after I saw the true performance...I also have a Plextor 8/4/32 from march 2000..Teac and Plextors delivers the best products available in the world. If you want a CDRW..you can go on this model (W540E) anytime fearless. No more write failures like in the past, it takes only 3 minutes and some secs to write a full 80min. CD...how faster do you want it?
About ripping audio CD's...wow...few secs and one track in already transformed to mp3 variable bitrate (audiocatalyst)..excellent DAE!!
No more words...the results speaks..this is a top CDRW..head to head with Plextor's!!
