    Good Points: satelite speakers

Bad Points: subwoofer, price when new

General comments: Well, I have bought a 2.1 version of these acoustic energy aego speakers couple of years ago and they are an exellent value. They sound big - like nothing in their price range whotsoever anyway. So last week I have purchased a 5.1 version called aego P5 and lucky me I have paid only 47 pounds for them. The monitors are of excellent quality but the subwoofer is just crap. So at the end of a day I wonder how could you guys justify spending 500 pounds on them - Had I done I would have killed myself;)

Acoustic Energy Aego P5 had good sound when it worked. Cost £500 and burnt out in 18 months when I got back in touch with manufacturer service was appalling and they eventually asked me to purchase a new decoder. Appalling service and after-care from the Acoustic people

I was utterly blown away by the Acoustic Energy Aego P5 system. The opening of Apocolypse Now Redux sounds like The Doors are in the room & chopters really are circuling. The detail in the Burly Brawl sequence in Matrix Reloaded was astounding. Basically, this has made me want to re-watch all my DVD's NOW!

Not having room for my old Hi Fi system when I moved house, which consisted of What Hi Fi 5 star components, and also watching more DVD movies I decided to opt for a sub sat system. After reading lots of articles and reveiws I decided to opt for the Acoustic Energy AGEO P5 sysem. However I have spent hours and hours moving the speakers around and playing with all the adjustment, I just can't get it to sound anywhere near as good as my old system. Having said that it is good with DVD movies. My a ...

This system is awesome. The sound quality is full with a rich base if you want it.
The speakers are quality palm sized units that you can position in various ways.
The sub is smaller than some I have come across
If I had one main criticism it would be the LED's are a bit on the bright side and can be a distraction if like me you can only position the processor in the line of view when watching the TV

The Aego P5 surround sound speaker system from Acoustic Energy is absolutely unbelievable! It is the most stylish small sub sat system I have seen. The real bonus is that the sound is so full. I really would recommend it to anyone. You can play your TV, Stereo, DVD player and PS2 through it! Excellent! The system included a pair of 10m rear cables, 5m front cables and 4m centre cable. Loads of cable to run under the carpets. All I will say is have a listen to the system and be prepared to be blo ...
