This board is outstanding in terms of it's functionality. However Abit used substandard parts and most of the capacitos will end up leaking. The caps used are very hard to find so steer clear if you expect more than a couple years reliability. (read more)

This Review is accurate but empty in a way. I am sure there is more to say about this board.

For a Slot A board, the KA7-100 has all of the features you would expect from a flagship motherboard i.e. 6 pci slots, 1 ISA slot, x4 AGP a great memory set-up & on-board nothing! Easy to setup and get great performance, but better still check out www.bxboards.com for RAID capabilities! (read more)

Overklocker didn't give a whole lot of detail. It almost sounded like he was trying to sell them. Every motherboard has SOMETHING bad about it and nothing was listed here. I have heard good things about this inparticular motherboard but I feel that this post about it was incomplete and was not very helpful for people who may be looking into buying one of these motherboards.

I have two KA7-100 and was very satisfied with them -- until
The caps blew.
Issues with this review:
1. ABIT as well as all other board manufacturers apparently were caught b-assed by this -- alternate Chinese suppliers used faulty materials in producing these electrolytic caps.
2. They are not hard to find, they are difficult to replace, unless you have patience and a soldering hand.
