Good Points: I think the best parts of the book are the dialogues between Kublai Khan and Marco Polo. They ease the reader into the mood of understanding for the rest of the book.
Bad Points: I don't think there were bad points, in theory. The book itself is hard to understand, but that is why Calvino wrote it this way. Calvino didn't want there to be a clear-cut way of interpreting the text.
General comments: Italo Calvino, Invisible Cities - Each individual city, such as Euphemia, is written in a disconnected way, with only common threads connecting one to the next. I think that Calvino expects that each individual, after reading the text, will be able to take away a different interpretation. A person's understanding of the writing is dependent upon their initial way of thinking.
