Good Points: The good points are it has very in good accuracy and it is smaller than most other air guns. The open sights are alot better than most I can get a pellet on the center of a target at 20yds.
Bad Points: There's really no bad points exept the gun is very picky when it to pellets so you can't just pick up any pellet if you want good, and consistant accuracy. (RWS pellets work great!)
General comments: This gun is fun to shoot with a scope and with open sights I reccomend it to any body who wants a small and very powerful air rifle.

A fun, ready to shoot, right out of the box springer. We own 2 of them so far, and would buy another without a second thought. It really does scream if you use the GAMO RAPTOR pellets - they drive hard & deep on marine grade plywood at 25 yards, and have a tight group.

Was going to get a scope for mine but after using the fibre optic sights I realised I didn't need to. Can hit a dime from 50yards! Wasn't sure about the syntetic stock to begin with but have come to love it. So much easier to care for and there's much less shine from it on sunny days. Also less slippery when it gets wet. A real 'out in the field' air rifle.

I love this gun one little problem is the recoil I don't use a scope because it gets shaken loose a little. The most accurate pellet gun I've used so far. There really isn't any thing bad about this gun except the recoil. The Gamo Shadow 1000 air rifle is a good all round gun

When you're waiting on the order of weeks for your brand new, exciting spring-air rifle to come in the mail, you don't like to be disappointed.Unfortunately, this one disappointed me.There are times when you pick up a piece of equipment so shoddy in it's manufacturing, that you don't even have to shoot it once to tell it's a flop. The barrel hind on mine was machined so inaccurately, the barrel canted off to the right at about 3 degrees. After a few shots with the rifle, the side of the breech bl ...

I got my Gamo as a christmas present and ive had it about 5 months now, and im still pleased with it. It came with a 4x32 scope and cost '£180.
I had fired other air rifles before but soon realised that this was far superior to those,(only later did i learn that i had fired a cheap chinese rifle). The gun felt a lot more sturdy and the stock was so much more robust than others. The black composite stock stands up to all the wear and tear of use, you dont need to worry about scratching or ...

I bought this gun a week ago and I already shot nearly 100 pellets, all of them shot really well and from 20 meters you can easily get the centre...I love this rifle.

This air rifle is probably the best air rifle I've come across. I've had many different air rifles just cause they are personally my favorite. I had a Beeman before i got this one which was another great gun but it was only about 750fps. So i wanted to get something with a little more power since it wouldn't kill a squirrel or bird. But when i found this Gamo Shadow 1000 i was so surprised at how much power and accuracy it had. I've shot over 1000 shots out of it with 3 different kinds of pe ...

I've had my shadow 1000 since i was 17 and I'm now 20 1/2 and it still works fine, there's been a drop in power, it will dip after about 50 feet or so but after 3 years this isn't surprising. I've mostly used it for target shooting but on the few occasions i've been hunting with it, it's been a good all rounder the stock doesn't rub against your hands like other rifles with wooden stocks. So you can pretty much walk around with it all day if needs must. This was my first rifle and is still my be ...

This is an excellent pellet rifle. The first time I shot it, it put at least a 1/4 in. deep hole @ 50 yards. I had a 500 fps. pellet rifle before that barely scuffed the surface of a sheet of particle particle board but the shadow put a pellet clean through it and later I shot a coffee tin and it put a hole through both sides.
For my shadow I use Diablo Boxers pellets what result in accuracy have you had with these.
The accuracy of this rifle is great i have put a pellet into ...

I've only had my rifle for about a week now, but so far I am pleased with it. The first thing I noticed was that its a lot easier to cock then my other Daisy Powerline 1000S rifle. It is also a lot lighter and feels more solid. The stock does not sound or feel hollow when you tap it against your hand like some rifle stocks. I also enjoy the ventilated butt plate because it really does cushion the recoil of the rifle.
The gun dieseled for the first few shots, but after that it quited down. Th ...

I bought my Gamo Shadow 1000 about a week ago, and it was mindblowing when i got it. It was as accurate as one can wish for once it was scoped in, and it packed punch. And a lot of it. I fired about 6-800 rounds through it when all of a sudden the sound changed radically. It was almost like someone had put a silencer on it..
I opened the badboy up, and to my great sorrow, the spring was broken. This i find very very bad for a weapon not older then a week. and not even shot 1000 shots.

I bought my Shadow about a year and a half ago. I have put over 10000 rounds through, see I have an 11 foot burmese python that likes to eat. My neighbors don't like the Idea of me shooting rabbits and squirrels with a .22 so I went out and bought a Daisy 1000. It was an "ok" air rifle. It was very loud, and the recoil was so bad that it was near impossible to keep a scope sigted in. So I traded it in, got my money back got to looking around and found the shadow for just a little more than what ...

I bought my Shadow a little over a year ago. It was my first airgun and I definitely think I was lucky to have made this choice. As I have learned to shoot this particular gun I realize how accurate it is. I moved to Tennessee last year and live out in the country and chipmonks are running rampant this time of year. I have a BSA Red Dot scope on mine and have been taking a toll on the chipmonk population lately,
I own a couple other airguns, but the Shadow 1000 is definitely the "go to" gun ...

I really appreciate the Review Centre site. I read a bunch of the reviews, and I thought I would share my experience so far as repayment.
I only shot the Gamo Shadow 1000 once, into the ground so far, so I can't speak to accuracy or anything right now. I previously had an RWS model 34. A friend and I bought (the 34) at the same time; he a .177, me a .22. At first I liked mine better, but as time went by I started to realize I made a mistake, and I should have got the .177.
The spring ...
