Good Points: Balance, it comes to hand nicely. Reasonable sights. Capable of good (under 1.5") groups single action at 6 to 10m. Good on gas (60 + full power shots).

Bad Points: Trigger, not comfortable on finger. Uneven pull. I have stripped mine and polished the sear etc and applied a little "moly" grease. Also took the rough edge of the actual trigger blade. Now a nice smooth unit.

General comments: For its price a good reliable gun. If you respect its limitations (power etc) it will provide hours of fun. A good training weapon if you are unable to keep your hand it with the real thing.

The Gamo PT-80 is a medium-frame CO2 pistol, loosely modelled on the Beretta Cougar (m8000) handgun. The airgun is almost entirely made out of polymer, and is consequently very lightweight, but surprisingly balanced. The trigger and working hammer are coupled by a very nice action with a crisp release. There is a safety, which is applied or removed manually (my favorite kind); there is no decocking lever, though the gun can easily be "safed" by holding the hammer back while pulling the trig ...

I had bought my PT-80 and try it, it's enough powerfull to do an hole in an iron can at 10 metres, if you use destructor gamo pellets, it's not a toy, dissuasive and precice enought for personnal protection, I never had any problems with, because I clean and grease all the parts. Actually I keep it as an home protection, more than a sporting air gun, it's the copy of the berreta cougard, fell good in hands. I have no regrets enjoy it but please do not fire little animals with.

If the trigger was fixed if would be an 8 or 9. Not really powerful enough for any kind of game or birds. I would not buy another without modifications.

I'm not sure why my PT-80 performs flawlessly while many of yours have failed - but I LOVE this little gun. I originally had it in mind for home security (sold my actual gun when we moved to Northern Cali from NY, and figured this could stop somebody but not kill them). I've owned this gun for 3 months, own 8 clips (reloading while firing is a bitch so why bother) so I imagine I've fired more than 4,000 rounds - juding by my empty tins that my wife uses. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. I also keep it lo ...

I like the gun overall. I bought it for my son this past Christmas. The o-ring became detached, after @ 50 shots.

Overall a very good gun for it's price. I almost always outshot a friend how bought a much more expensive gun and a red dot. It isn't as accurate as I would like but until my friend starts out-shoting me I wouldn't buy an other.

I purchased my PT-80 a month ago and have fired about 1500 pellets through it and used about 14 bottles of 12gram co2 bottles, I found changing the 12gram co2 bottles easy and the 4 magazines are very useful, the sights take a little while to adjust but once aligned accurate. I haven't experienced any problems of any kind and with a 12 month guarantee I'm not worried. Overall for 60 pounds its good fun at an affordable price.

I've only had this gun a few months but I have fired it a lot. I don't experience the rotary clip jamming that others do. Maybe because I own a few rotary clip guns and find they're quite particular about the pellets they use. Shorter and round heads are better. Somewhat difficult to sight in but once done it is fine. It's a pistol and I don't expect too much accuracy at distance.

I have owned this gun for over half a year, and it is incredible. I can split a stick from 30 feet with Crosman field hunting pellets. DON'T use Gamo Match pellets. In my Gamo rifle they are very accurate, but in this they go to the left a lot. Co2 change is easy, which is another good feature, along with the safety. Adjusting the sites takes a while, but once you get them right, they are pretty accurate. The trigger pull could be better, but I've seen much worse out there, so this is nothing. T ...

This pistol is very loud when shot. Pellets would get stuck in the barrel. When you shoot it it would move the pellets out of the clip they were in at all. Very expensive $90 since it wasn't worth the money i would rather buy the Daisy 15XT for $35 at walmart. Everytime the pistol is shot you can smell gas i think it is because the CO2 is leaking it this has been happening since the third day it was purchased and not even 300 shots have been fired from it.

I originally purchased the PT80 not as a target gun but just as a plinker. The very first time that I charged it with a CO2 cartridge it was apparent that there was a poor gas seal but I thought that it was because I had not installed it correctly and the gas was all gone within a few minutes. When I installed the second cartridge the same thing happened and the third, forth and fifth. With this frusration fresh in my mind I found this site and discovered that other owners had the same proble ...

My Daisy powerline 15XT is way more accurate and last way longer with just bbs and a smooth bore barrel, way more powerful too. And at less than half the cost!!! I used to be a fan of Gamo, but not after owning this gun. They have let their quality go down the tubes. Power really drops fast after the first three to eight shots. The first shot sounds great but that is about all. Very sticky and rough trigger. I only got about 24 decent shots from each co2 cartridge. Not accurate for a rifled barr ...

This is a good gun. Fun for hunting rodents and plinking pop cans. The rifled barrel makes this gun very very accurate. I can't believe how accurate it is from a long distance. This gun has lots of power. My only precaution is, make sure that there is nothing behind your target, because i have damaged some pool toys even after the pellet passed through a full, un-opened soda can, which pretty much exploded!

I got my first Gamo PT80 as a gift. It leaked gas after first cartridge. I bought a PT80 one new and it leaks gas upon firing too, plus it is hard to stop the cartridge from leaking by tightening the bolt.
