Jane Austen, Emma is a deligtful tale of a young woman who, having helped her nanny to find a husband, decides to try and matchmake for her friends, to varying degrees of failure. She also has to contend with her best friend falling for the man she refuses to admit she loves. It's a tale of courtship and intrigue and one hopes that each girl will end up with the right man by the end of the book.
Austen always tells a great story and this tale cautions people from needlessly interefering in the lives of others when they should be looking after themselves. It's a fun ride from start to finish and Emma and her friends and family, Mr. Knightly in particular, are an endearing and graphically drawn set.
