Good Points: A fantastically developed storyline, with some amazingly well-developed characters. I very much enjoyed this book, despite being a 'classics' hater!
Bad Points: I'm, personally, not a fan of your typical weepy women, and though Jane is in some ways independent, she seems to be a bit too dependent on Rochester, and a little bit thick when it comes to Bertha! Also, some of the 'twists' were a bit obvious.
General comments: It is great to see a classic written by a woman; we can get a completely different view on so many things. What amuses me is the comparison between then and now, what is considered 'dishonourable'. The chapters on the boarding school inspire terror, but more could have been made of the death of her friends. Overall, however, worth reading just to say that you have.
