Good Points: There has been a half-decent film made about it.
It's fun to complain about.
Bad Points: It is incredibly dull and has washed-out characters in an old house doing nothing much.
General comments: Mansfield Park by Jane Austen is considered by many to be an excellent read. I do not think this is so. It is BORING! The main character, Fanny, is dull and inexcusably polite. Mary Crawford & Mrs Norris are the only half-interesting characters - even so, they are both painfully annoying.
On the whole, I consider this to be the worst book that Jane Austen has ever written.
