this is my first theoban Fenman HE and have to say on balance its size, balance and shooting performance is excellent.the negatives are in my opinion are as a result of its compact size ,the butt comb is deep and makes scope clamp choice to be on the high side to get a comfortable scope window;cocking effort is high as the leveridge is low ,the price of the ultra short barrel length.she compares very favourably with my fwb 124 enough said.

This is an excellent self contained extremely accurate system. It has one of the fastest lock times compared to other break barrel rifle.

The recoil of the Theoben Fenman HE is quick and short, learn how to shoot properly and your quarry will be downed no problem right out to 40yrds

Don't mistake its short length for CQ pest control, it performs well in the field too. Best combination of pellets are accupels or Eley wasp 5.5mm

If you can find one, try it - if you see a Fenman Profile buy it. ...

I own a Theoben Fenman HE and it is a great hunter in the feild and it is worth the money it puts food in the pot and being out shooting with it keeps me out or trouble in the streets.

Great rifle, not too short and certainly not too long. Quick handling.

If you've never tried a HE Gas Ram, you're missing out. Even if it's just to compare it to other types.

The Theoben Fenman is a very powerfull air rifle. I wouldn't recommend this gun for a begginer. It is accurate and good value for money.

I have owned 3 Fenmans, the first was in 22, with hyenda stock, a lovely looking rifle and very accurate. They are a bit quirky to cock, it requies practice to get right, as does closing the barrel. My second fenman was dissapointing, as the gas ram was faulty, and on a chrono shots varied by 3ft1b. My third was in 177, and recoiled a fair bit, and broke the crosshairs on my scope. I have heard this from other people, maybe we're the few. Plus sides, if you get a good one, very quick lock time d ...

As well as this Theoben Fenman HE I own a BSA Lightning XL which I thought was good, however the Fenman has taken my shooting to new level the gun combined with a Hawke Nite-eye sight is an awesome combination, within thirty minutes of getting it home and zeroed I was getting single hole groups.
There is minimal recoil (just enough to give you the feel of the gun).
The finish and design just oozes quality, this product is just a pleasure to use-well done Theoben!

I also own a (very heavy) Weihrauch 90HE, & 97k, Theoben Rapid Mark 1 and Theoben MFR. The MFR was formerly my favourite all rounder, but the Fenman is much more fun to shoot in the field.

I'm a little old fashioned and I admit it, I like rifles that produce their own air.
Don't get me wrong, I have a PCP as well and it's a fine gun....but being able to be out all day without worrying about re-filling is sweet.

The Theoben Fenman HE is as accurate as you will ever need, there is a very slight recoil but nothing like the bounce you get from a springer.
So it doesn't feel like a PCP and if you haven't learnt to shoot correctly then it won't be as forgiving as one, but that's do ...

    Theoben Fenman HE Air Rifle
Here's the (long) story... I first bought a .22 Weirauch HW97K, I enjoyed shooting so much that a year later I bought a .20 Theoben Rapid 7 MkII too. I then thought I had the best gun available (it was brilliant). The HW97K stayed in the cupboard. Then I moved house.

After the move I found it difficult to get my Rapid charged up, I had to leave work early to get to the gun shop and if the traffic was bad I didn't always make it in time which was very annoying. A ...

The Theoben Fenman HE is without a doubt an excellent air rifle. Criticising it because it isn't quite the same as a pre-charged is like criticising a 4-wheel drive for not being as fast as a sports car.
What it does, it does very, very well indeed.

It's accurate, if you can't hit what you want within 12ft lbs range limits with this rifle then it's you, not the rifle.

It's well made, look after it and it will last you years giving value for money.
I'm old fashioned, I like to be self con ...

I purchased my Fenman only a few days ago(I traded in an old RWS/Diana 52)and i'm over the moon with evrything about it.
Gone now is the heavy recoil of my RWS52 which now means I can group those pellets tighter which adds up to more bunnies for the pot.
A really well balanced rifle which makes target aquisition very quick.
I paid £350 for the rifle(seconhand)from a well known airgun shop in Warrington.
It came with a gunbag and 1000 pellets in .22 ,Theobens own mounts already on the r ...

I ordered a Theoben Fenman HE because I had read so many good things about the rifle and decided to get one of the best self contained air rifles in the world. Unfortunately, the one I was sent (brand new) was underpowered. I had paid over £500 for the whole set up (included Hawke Nite-Eye 3-9x40 IR scope, bag, pellets, vortex silencer). It came with a check sheet showing they had tested the power with Crosman Accupells and they had an average of 11.6 ft/lbs. This is one of the main reason ...

I have owned quite a few air rifles but I think of them all the Fenman is about the best all rounder, I have owned a rapid 7, great gun! But I didn't like having to keep charging it up! The Fenman oozes quality, I picked mine up pretty cheap, second hand it was £275 (absolute bargain) from target sports in Bolton, top shop! Anyway, if you have some cash around £400 and you are looking for a rifle, buy a Fenman, a few shots and you will see why I love it so much!!!! If I could I'd giv ...

The Theoben Fenman HE is a great all rounder from targets to vermin - far outclassess my hw80.
Great with most types of ammo but seems to prefer crossman premier.

The gas ram system on the Theoben Fenman HE air gun has the reliability of a saint with regards to consistant full power. For a brake barrel this gun is extremely accurate. Kill range is comfortable at 35 yards and knock down targets at 45 yards.

This is an extremely well made weapon that allows you to become quite confident with it from the start. Predictable aiming and an extremely solid walnut stock make this a mighty fine weapon. I like this gun as much as my FX2000.

I have a BSA lightning air gun as well as this Teoben Fenman HE and the FENMAN is a much higher class of weapon. I like the walnut and hefty weight to this gun - it feels as though you can take on anything and hit it comfortably at 45 to 50 yards. I can hit targets at 50 yards with this consistantly accurately. Killing range is 35 to 40 yards for head shot. It's worth the expense of putting a decent set of sights by SIMMONS on this to make the best out of its accuracy. Gas ram gives very little ...
