Bought this 53 model from a dealer. Had no problems with it at all. Love all the extras included like the drawers under the seats, the sun glasses compartment and all the power points and drinks holders.

Never had any issues with the engine or bodywork.

Love this car and will definitely stay with Peugeot in the future… Read Full Review

ABS failure, callbacks, having to use a Peugeot garage and be made to feel little and them doubting what I say to them. Letting them do a call back on car for abs problem, was fine before we took it in 1 day after noises grinding and abs light flashing. But its not there fault, oh no! This is our first Peugeot and our last, never go totally for looks. would never buy a Peugeot again as the after care is not good at all as they don ' t like admitting when they are wrong… Read Full Review

“We've had the similar problems with our Peugeot 307...”

Written on: 05/04/2005 by jd1371 (1 review written)

We've had the similar problems with our Peugeot 307 1.6 LX which we bought new in Sept 02. The carpet came away in the drivers well, faulty indicator stick and squeaky exhaust. Having read about these problems elsewhere, it took our Peugeot dealer long enough to rectify everything. When the indicator broke after 3 weeks, I took it back to the dealer where the car spent the day. When I picked it up I was assured it was fixed but on driving it up the road it obviously hadn't been touched - and… Read Full Review

Driven's Response to jd1371's Review

I could have wrote this exact review! lovely car spoilt by silly annoying things such as a very squeeky exhaust & dodgy indicator stalks, carpet fixings which pull out so the carpet pushes forward (lodging under the accelorator pedal) & the seat pump handle which always comes undone eventually falling off despite using threadlock!. Local Peugeot dealer at Torquay equally useless - couldn't be bothered attitude with a spares counter who ignore you for a long as possible; must be some kind of industry game! Having said that the car is a joy to drive & we love it very much.

I've had this Peugeot 307 1.6 LX family car for three years now and it has been in and out of the garage endless times with various faults e.g.:

Interior carpet coming away
Noises from front of car
Leaking head gasket
Roll cage movement!!
Faults with Central Locking
Leaking Gearbox
Faulty Hazard Light button

The most frustrating thing of all is the time that it takes for parts and repairs to take place. Peugeot Head office not the most willing to help and neither is the dealer I purchased… Read Full Review

The Peugeot 307 1.6 LX is a nice looking car, plenty of space inside, however there are lots of faults with the car, Peugeot will fix them eventually, but you don't expect a new car to be frequently in the garage when bought from new, peugeot need to get to grips with the problems that a lot of people are having and sort them out once and for all, not doing it on an ad-hoc basis… Read Full Review
