this car is my first car that is mine. and i have absolutely no problems with it. when i bought it, it had done 101,000 so there was the inevitable problem, the fuel regulator was bust. this was to be expected tbh and the garage i bought it off did a good job in fixing it. i have now done 104,001 miles and the car is amazing to drive, the high levels of torque are great but the BHP is a little tow for a 2.0 TD, but this is a standoff of power and economy, and economy won... i have had 600 miles out of a full tank, with only 200 of those being motorway, the rest driving like the 18 yr old lad i am on some winding country lanes. overall i would recommend the peugeot 206 2.0 HDI to anybody who wants a small, economic car.

A great "wee car" but for a diesel (2.0 hdi) its bad on fuel, I did a "brim to brim" the other day and with easy town driving I get 35 to the gal which is hellish. Its just been serviced eg plugs ect ect the only thing I can think of (and probably wont help) is cleaning the maf.

Peugeot 206 2.0 HDi 90. Great styling, very good looking car.
Great torque, my cars normally struggle to pick up much speed up hill, but this car as no trouble.
Fuel economy is great and so is the £35 road tax.
This is my 3rd Pug after a 205gti and a 306.
Not disappointed with the car at all, Peugeot still make great cars.
Heater controls are a little dated but that's not really a bad point.
Clutch tends to be high takes a little getting used to.

Nobody can deny how good this Peugeot 206 2.0 HDi 90 family car looks and it does stand out. I choose this car merely on its looks but have not been disappointed with its performance. Although it only needs very light touches on the pedals it drives well, has a nice feel and has all the pace and power you need, perhaps a little too much. The car has plenty of room, even though the three doors can be a nuisance (for the passenger mind and not the driver). I would always recommend a 3dr though for its more compact, neat and sporty look.
