Good Points: Nora described the rugged landscape that Jack and Sarah live in so well you can breath the atmosphere as you read her novel.

General comments: Nora Roberts, The author of this romantic novel chapter the harsh open lands of the primitive Wild West, where white men and Indian fought each other for land, white men fought each over women and goldmines and whiskey ruled them all.

Sarah Conway, straight from the convent of the Good Sisters, was at last heading to the lovely home her father had built for them from the gold money. Sarah knew this through the many letters she and her father had corresponded over the last eighteen years.

Sarah planned to become the lady of this large home and entertain her father's friends and partners of the goldmine. Reality was about to hit Sarah when arriving in Lone Buff after a long carriage ride when she clapping eyes on a half Indian Apache who save her from being robbed at gun point. Jake Redman born and breed to this harsh country, lived life with the simple things a horse, bedroll, water canteen and his trusty two shooter sitting on his hip. Sarah, with her polished up bringing, had a determined and stubborn nature. Jake, the bounty hunter, had Indian blood running though his veins. Can two people with different breeding come together as partners in a mine and for life with the interference of others?

This romantic western is written in such a descriptive way you feel, it live it, you can nearly breathe in the atmosphere of each drama of Sarah ' s life. Lawless is a book that you can't put down, you will find yourself making white sauce with one hand.

Very good plot because it gives enough detail for you to picture it but vague enough for you to use your imagination. A thrilling read filled with mystery, romance, intrigue , and adventure. Very gory in certain scenes though :-s. It is a very good read and i would recommend it to anyone who loves romance and adventure.

Lawless was one of the best romance novels I've read. It was beautifully written, Nora Roberts has done a fine job at describing the characters.
