Good Points: Good first 200 pages and the epilogue was satisfying.
Bad Points: Gets cheesy with how they attack the doctor and isn't too scary.
General comments: Unless you're a real stephen king fan, i would not suggest the book. that said, it isn't the worst book i've read. As the story progresses, i began to feel as if i was reading the book because i had already read 200 pages and not because i wanted to find out the ending. after going to the hospital and discovering their secret powers, the horror aspect of the book is gone. towards the last 100 or so pages, the story regained some suspense and i thought it went out with a bang. i also feel that bill mcgovern is a not-to-endearing character and lois has her moments where you feel she is annoyingly nice. the ending leaves you wondering what ralph's first wife is going to think about his new one.

In this book there is a man named Ralph Roberts who's wife Carolyn suffers a brain tumour. When she begins to die Ralph begins to hear a ticking which he dubs the deathwatch, this is because he believes that this ticking is counting down to when Carolyn is going to die, and he is correct. This is when Ralph begins to form his insomnia and begins seeing auras. These auras are described as the life and soul of the person that it belongs to. I will give this book eleven out of ten it is pure genius ...
