Good Points: ok apart from above,

Bad Points: High dealer service costs, in fact avoid any dealer work, try and find a trusted garage who does work on these.
Allways pulling out money, airsprings pants need replacing every few years.
Gear boxes can be troublesome, things i have listed in my comments are common faults with these vehicles.

General comments: Discovery 2 GS 2003
Hear is my 10 pence worth,

Wiring harness under rocker cover replaced "just failed to start one day"

    Spigot bush on crankshaft/gearbox

    Condensation in headlights

Fuel line replace from wearing off body "diesel sprayed all over window which cracked all the plastic trim around rear door need replacing"

Air spring leaking cause back end to drop to wheel arches when it feels like it.

Fuel pump in tank. "garage burnt it out when change fuel filter"

    new clutch.

centrol locking stopped working on driver door, something snaps on the mechanism and dealer replaced it.

Don't touch a Land Rover Discovery TD5 GS- Land Rover consider it acceptable for these engines to last only 60 000 miles - they know there is a problem many early Td5's are now failing just as they pass beyond the four year mark.

Mine was serviced more regularly than required by Land Rover and did not lead a particularly arduous life.

great car, drives like a dream u don't need the ACE system the SLS is just fine, it is very practicle and is overall an excellent motor.

those new headlights are great for night driving, it has TCS EBD ABS SLS, the seven seats are very good and the whole car is very spacious

Excellent buy for anyone doing; the school run, journeys back and forth on a regullar basis, on road, off road

it can do pretty much any thing you want it to do
