    Good Points: Performance, Fuel Economy, Comfort, Handling, Space, Build


    Bad Points: Wind noise at speed, Diesel noise at start


    General comments: This Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDDi 115 Zetec 5dr family car goes well, is thoroughly reliable and economical. Comfortable over distance with good performance and road holding. Slight wind noise at higher speeds is never obtrusive. Diesel noise at startup soon disappears as the revs rise. Controls as usual are well placed and easy to use. Initial depreciation is more than offset by dealer discounts, haggle hard and get a good price.

    This Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDDi 115 Zetec 5dr family car is not the quietest of diesels on startup, however the engine noise dies as the rev's rise and is never intrusive. Build quality is good, definitely the best to date from Ford other than the new C-Max. The Mondeo is quicker than you would think and handles very well and genuinely returns an average of 47mpg. The only downside is the residual value but this is more than offset by haggling on the deal.
