This is a great read from child to adult, I would recommend it to anyone, all I can say now is that I need to get the 12th as I got "The End" thinking that it was the 12th, but only to find it was indeed the 13th, lol. (read more)

I have read the book and watched the film and I have in fact recommended both to friends.
This book captivates you from the start with a tragic first chapter which leaves the Baudelaire children as orphans, with no home and no immediate family that they are aware of.
To add to the tale, the children's parents were exceptionally wealthy and in their will they left all their money to their children as they turn 16.

Lemony Snicket, A Series of Unfortunate Events is a adventure book and makes you want to read on. Some parts are really funny.
When the children have to move from somebodys house that they like that part was really sad and made me feel sad as well.

Lemony Snicket, A Series of Unfortunate Events: "The Bad Beginning", "The Reptile Room", "The Wide Window", "The Miserable Mill" (Series of Unfortunate Events) - If you want to start reading for any reason, then read these. At least you'll be reading something you enjoy unlike somthing you dislike. Normally if you dislke a book you'll put them down, but with this your friends will have to grasp it from your hands to see whats so good. 10/10 (read more)
