Where to start? This book is one of my favourite books of all Michael morpurgo books. It leads you with great suspense, I can't put it down for more than 5minutes. If you like adventurous books with lots of emotion then this is the book for you. I recommend it for ages 7 and over. A boy called Michael was washed up on a deserted island....or was it? (read more)

I read this book multiple times as a child and it made me cry at the end every time. It actually inspired my fascination with English and I am currently intending to do a degree at university in Creative Writing. It all originated from this book and I still, as an adult, would happily read it once more. Thank you Michael Morpurgo. Signed, Papa Lush. (read more)

I just finished Michael Morpurgo's classic Kensukes Kingdom! I had started to read it in school but never got the chance to finish it so when i glanced upon it between the Halewood Libary shelf i decided straight away I would check it out. Since i have not been able to put it down reading until a late time of night...
The story immediately grasped my interest from the first page. The author did a really good job of not juming into the story to soon and when he did get into the story he...

Kensukes Kingdom, is my alltime favourite read. I first read it when I was about 11, and 4 years on the book never fails to keep me reading. I could sit for hours on a sunny day in my garden just hearing about Micheal's tales and the friendship he made with Kensuke. Micheal Morpurgo has wrote this book fantastically, and I couldn't have praised it anymore. It is one of the only books I have ever been able to get connected too that I actually feel the emotions of the characters and the events... (read more)

Kensukes Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo draws you into the book after the first 5 or 6 pages. My teacher read it to us as a class and as soon as we had finished i got it again but as a library book. I got it on a Thursday and was so engrossed in the book that i had read 79 pages by the following Monday. When we have silent reading I finish the page but want to read so much more. I love to read books by Michael Morpurgo. Three of my favourite books are Cool!, Born To Run and Kensuke's Kingdom... (read more)

Kensukes Kingdom is one of Morpurgo's best novels for children. While it is, on the surface, an exciting modern-day Robinson Crusoe which will appeal particularly to unwilling boy readers, the story of a boy and his dog washed up upon an apparently uninhabited tropical island, it is also a beautiful and sensitive portrait of friendship, loss and loyalty. I defy anybody to read the final chapter and epilogue without weeping from genuine heartache! The language used is wonderful without... (read more)
