Good Points: Plenty of inside space, loads of torque with good fuel consumption, very capable on motorways. Have done a 400 mile journey felt comfortable all the way including a tedious half lap of M25, Sony audio good, climate control effective, auto wipers also useful.
Bad Points: Cooled front seats I feel are a gimmick, however the heat is good, auto headlamps not reliable enough to rely totally on, many situations when they should be on and there not and vice versa, the so called full leather trim isn't; some of it is vinyl eg the centre of the rear seat. Polished alloy wheels seem vulnerable to corrosion, treat with kid gloves. Stupid space saver spare wheel. Depreciates in value buy the hour! Particularly when new model hits used forecourts.
General comments: I have covered approx 4000 miles in my "mondy", now the performance is excellant and the fuel economy is more than acceptable. I do find a lot of gear changing between fifth and sixth gear, she dosen't want to know under 50 mph in sixth. Altogether roomy well equipped hatchback bags of power at an affordable price if bought carefully second hand.

I have the Ford Mondeo tdci Ghiax auto version, just 12 months old. Its been back to the dealer many times for excessive engine rattle caused by injection pump - cat sounds like a taxi at 1500-2000 rpm. Dealer says they all sound like mine and there is nothing wrong
This is the second GhiaX I have owned, my last one had the old engine but this one is by far the noisiest of the two.
I would never buy another Ford diesel again- Read MartinGPerry's review (98 words)
