Good Points: It is just a hear warming story of family and how people can compliment each other. A brilliant tale of four sisters. The writing is exquisite and it's great how all four sister have their traits-it's what makes them so real. I think what I'm trying to say is, the story of them all comes alive in a way that is unimaginable, and they truly pull together when the family is in danger.
Bad Points: The story doesn't end how we want it too! It doesn't give reader satisfaction. It is completely like real life unfortunately.
General comments: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott is a brilliant read for all ages, mostly women and girls I'd say but I'm not trying to be sexist. If you are planning to read the hard classics or the Bronte sisters novels but have never read anything like it before, I'd really recommend this book as, in a way, it is an ease into classical reading.
I'd say it is a brilliant story to read to young children and to read as their reading level progresses.
