Physics For You was the set book for my O levels. I happened to read it 5 years earlier, and I was hooked on physics. The beauty of this book is it's perfect explanation of principles. The key to physics is understanding principles and nature's "laws", and applying them to other situations. Books tend to fail this ... PforY however does it beautifully. (read more)

It has pictures to help explain concepts. However, it doesn't really explain everything, doesn't have answers to all of the questions in the review sections, has no website with practice quizzes and tests. Ok book, but not that great. (read more)

I found this review not helpful because it is not correct in what it says.
All the answers are there ...but you have to read the book to find them, they are not all handed to you 'on a plate'.

And it DOES have a web-site ...at least two in fact ...there is a 'kerboodle' version on the publisher's site [www.nelsonthornes.com] and some free PowerPoints on the author's site [www.physics4u.co.uk]

Another web-site [www.physicsforyou.co.uk] gives you 'specification Maps' that tell you exactly which pages are needed for each examination.
