i recently rebought this for a young relative, having read it many a time as a youngster. It was fantastic to be able to re-read, and my niece thouroughly enjoyed it. Can't believe how much i missed as achild - the symbolism is remarkable. The only downfal to this is the new cover illustrations that appear on the latest editions - although quentin blakes work still appears, i don't think they capture the magic as per the original covers. Perhaps thats just me preferring the original though. Its… Read Full Review

I think Quentin Blake has a lot of talent and he is the best illustrator in London. I love all his books and I personnaly think he should have more trophys. I mean it's not every day you have this kind of talent. And I think Anne Fine and Quentin Blake would make a great team together. And I would be the first person read their books and I hope they will be great because I have read Anne Fine's book and I thought that if you mixed Anne Fine with Quentin Black it would be the greatest book ever… Read Full Review

I thought the book was brilliant because it was funny when Boggis said "Dang-blasted Fox!" My favorite part of the story is when Mr. Fox has an idea because he says, "A fox can dig faster than a human." It made me want to read on more to see who wins the exciting digging race. My favorite characters are Mr. and Mrs. Fox because Mrs. Fox is a drama queen and Mr. Fox has brilliant ideas when he wants to go to Boggis' chicken house number 1… Read Full Review

I liked that Mr Fox suddenly came up with ideas completely off the top of his head! The characters in Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr. Fox were very good, because one was short, one was fat and one was lean, and they all have their own interests - turkeys, cider and ducks, which are just some of the things mentioned!
I would recommend it for bedtime stories to the under 10's, because older kids might get bored with a children's story - Roald Dahl does write lots of children's stories!… Read Full Review
