Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a really enjoyable book and gives interesting background to the Harry Potter books. I wouldn't recommend reading it if you haven't read the Harry Potter books in a while, because if you're anything like me you'll have forgotten that half of the beasts were even mentioned and it won't be as interesting, but otherwise it's really fun to go through and learn more about all the beasts mentioned in passing in the books.

Branching off from the Harry Potter books, it was enitially written by J.K Rowling for Comic Relief, after much demand it came on sale to the public again. It is a partner set with Quidditch through the ages.
Basically it's an AtoZ of Magical Beats.
The book is based on books found in the magical world, to give us a better understanding. When buying the books as a pack it comes with stickers labled like:'Property of Harry Potter' etc.
A fantastic book to me, but please, non Harry Potter Fans-I wouldn't recommend it. It will confuse you and set you against Harry Potter completely.
