Nice car, good on petrol, no problems so far. I have just purchased my 5th Ford Focus and change them every 2 years so I have never come across any problems. I find it a nice size for us and quite comfy. No problems to date.

In September 2005 I had a split fuel pipe which I had repaired. Not a real problem. The main problm is, when driving my Ford Focus feels like it is being starved from fuel at times, it keeps wanting to cut out, but doesn't, all lights stay on and speedo stays where it is, but it jumps a few times, especially went it is wet. I have taken the car to my local garage/workshop and they cannot find the fault. If anybody has any ideas, please let me know.......

I have owned my 2002 Ford Focus for two years. I have had nothing but problems from this car from day one. Within the first week I had this car it died. The car has stalled non-stop since I purchased it. It has been to the dealership to many times to count and they can't find anything wrong with it, the computer can't. Well it is in the shop again for a bad head that finally was found after two years. The dealership I bought it at O'daniel ford in New Haven, are extremely rude and don't do their jobs. I can't not emphasize enough that this car is a piece of rubbish Do not buy it. They need give me a new one before the warranty runs out, it has 29,000 miles on it now. I have only 7,000 left and I figure there going to screw me until the warranty is up. If you plan on having this car for longer then the standard warranty buy a extended warranty.

I had a similar fault on mine and it turned out to be the plug leads were breaking up. A new set of leads solved the problem. Best way to see if its this is to start engine when its dark, lift the bonnet and you can see the leads tracking onto the engine, that is unless they are cracked right down where the plugs are
