The book 'Z. for Zachariah' was for me, a very good insight into fear in the 1970's over nuclear bombs. Scanning the front cover, there isn't anything very appealing to it but the moment you read the first line "I am afraid" You ar drawn in almost immediatly.- Read Bookwormsandwich's review (105 words)

Review on 22nd Feb 2007A great work of apocalyptic science fiction, this is also a great feminist story about the strength of women and especially of one woman to survive and carry on despite everything.
