O my god the awakening is awesome. I started reading this book and just could not put it down. I thought it was just going to be any old vampire book but it was way better. Its not like any other old vampire book. I even got this boy from school to read it.He said its 10,0000 times better then twilight! My family says i read to much and i need to stop but all you have to say is i have to read for school.- Read Guest's review (86 words)

I think that this is the best book, no, series ever. I have read Twilight and honestly I got so bored of it nothing was really realistic. Anyways, please, please, please make a movie out of this series. Also, please inform people around the world that you are having auditions if you do make this into a movie. Because I for one would adore to be anyone in this series (even Caroline). L.J. Smith please keep writing, and please publish Damon if you do.- Read Guest's review (102 words)

When I first saw the book I thought wow just another vampire book but I started to read it. The more I read the harder it was to put down at night. I ' m one of those people who just hate to read anything but this book had from the begging. At one point I was so mad but then it got better I kept on reading. I think that you really should make a movie out of this. I really think that it would give Batman: The Dark Knight a run for its money. All I can say is please make a movie!- Read Guest's review (122 words)

This is an amazing series. It pulls you in with a fictional lasso. I'm eighteen, and having read the entire series, I am in love! The characters are so deep! Even the shallow ones are deep, and they do things for reasons that weren't previously thought of. L. Jane Smith = A Goddess of Writing- Read Guest's review (54 words)

This book is amazing! I love the character's behaviours and description of thoughts and their actions! If you read this and enjoyed it, you should try another great vampire book, Twilight.- Read Guest's review (35 words)

Amazing book! I first discovered the 4th book in the series, reading that first, then realising it was the last to a series- so i raced out and got the others. I was about 13 when i first read this book, and now that i am 19, i still like to read it eery now and then. i dont care how old you are, this book will grab you, and of course, i dont care how old you are, you can not get bored of reading about the gorg salvatore brother. in a way its kind of semi 'erotic', the little descriptions of ...- Read Guest's review (136 words)

When I started to read it I couldn't put it down. Not a lot books do that for me. I am very picky about what I read. I love it so much. Please make a movie of the vampire diaries, and if you do make a movie on it please let people all around the world know about the auditions. I know I'd love to be in it.- Read Guest's review (79 words)

L. J. Smith, Vampire Diaries #1: The Awakening (Vampire Diaries) - As a young teen, this was the single most thrilling (and, dare I say it, erotic) encounter imaginable!
Who else but our dear L. J., could use a description such as "Bruisingly close". Superb!
I'm now 23, and its still my favourite read!
LJ, please, please don't stop writing! We love you!- Read lucy lu's review (60 words)
