    The biographical information about Asa Carter should have no infulence on the meaning or the intent of the novel This is a good book and should be required reading for all students. History is not always pretty nor is it untainted by cultural standards of the time period in which it was written.

    Forrest Carter, The Education of Little Tree - You will read this book in one of two ways. You will read it as really good story book or as something completely different. Either way it will fill you with joy and absolute sadness. This is a must for all readers, and I can vouch to say it's changed my life.
