    Good Points: build,reliability,sound awesome.excellent quality product.


    Bad Points: none whatsoever. will play hd through its power in plugs,


    General comments: The Denon AVC-A1SE is a fantastic piece of kit.buy one and use a blue ray players analogue outputs,and get mindblowing performance without buying a cheat new amp.

    Denon AVC-A1SE has been outstanding so far.

    Not compatible with new Audio Formats Dolby True HD or Master Audio DTS-HD, which are not "transformed" into normal DTS but ordinary Pro Logic.

    It has served me extremely well from 2001 up to this moment (March 2009). The problem is that new HD technologies have rendered it outdated.

    What a beautiful piece of kit! So much power with this Denon AVC-A1SE home cinema amplifier that I no longer go to the cinema because the sound is so much better. This 7 channel monster, hooked to a reasonable DVD (Sony DVP-S725D) and decent speakers (Linns all round) is an awesome experience. But shop around as prices vary by several hundred pounds.
