    Good Points: Smooth solid car.


    Bad Points: Bad fuel consumption not to the book spec.


    General comments: Is there really a problem with the fuel consumption or is there a problem with my car that the BMW dealers dont want to get involved with? After all its only aone year old, and has only done 8000 miles what the problem!

    I love the BMW 318i. Some people are right that there are some issues. true. But still the good things are simply great.

    my dad has a BMW 318ie as it was always his dream to have a bmw. he bought it brand new in 1991. The car 'was' his pride and joy and its mostly garaged then drivin. after a few months the window winder on the drivers seat broke not to mention how hard it is 2 wind open and close all 4 windows. The material on the roof had just dropped to wot made it look like a tent inside. the A/C has always givin him trouble. spent 2 yrs trying to find wot was wrong with it, when they finally got it working we ...

    I bought the BMW 3 Series 318i SE Saloon sports car for £3500 18 months ago and would probably get that back now if i sold it. When I got it at 93,000 miles it had full BMW history which is always a good selling point. The car has not let me down at all and still looks better than most cars that cost twice as much. Comfortable and roomy the car is also ideal for the family and has a decent size boot. Only thing i could possibly complain about is acceleration.
