Good Points: Looks - this is an older car than my previous two yet draws more admiring glances/comments than them combined.
Build Quality - a pleasure to own
Comfort - a pleasure to drive

Bad Points: Thirstier than previous cars @ 30.5mpg,Mini @ 34.5mpg, Eos @ 45mpg But this fact is outweighed by the pure enjoyment of owning this BMW.

General comments: I purchased this 06 model with 11700miles on the clock in May 09 trading in a 08 Mini Cooper S for which I traded in a 07 Eos TDI. The BMW is everything the other 2 cars are not. It is comfortable on long journeys the Mini isn't. The BMW is well built and so far fault free. The Eos bought new was not. After owning 8 VW's was the deciding factor in me vowing never to buy another VW. This is my 1st BMW and I am now a convert. It has also convinced me that a cabrio/convertible should always be petrol and not diesel powered.

I've had my 03 BMW 318ci for over a year now, and it has never let me down, incredibly reliable, effort free drive, great on long distances. The only reason I have not marked a full marks is I would have liked a bigger engine and more performance, however this is not the cars fault, but mine for not buying a 330. Given the engine size it is relatively responsive and more economical than I had expected.

Taken delivery of my BMW 318Ci last thursday from bmw dealership can honestly say that I am more than impressed with it.Yes it is under powered but this is a crusing machine and not a racing one.The drive is solid and comfortable and has enough gizzmos to keep you happy(Blue tooth is a must!!!!).Traded in a mini convertible for it and room in the back is far better for the kids.On a whole good swap and dealership have been really good but if you can afford to run one go for a bigger engine. ...

The BMW 318, although a 2 litre is still underpowered, go for a larger engine size, or try the diesel which is more powerful and pulls better lower down the revs. The cruise control is easy to use, takes the strain off the driver and can increase the fuel consumption up to by 5%. BMW servicing can be expensive, although dealer prices drop for cars over four years old. Insurance can also be costly, most models fall are at least group 15, however the 318 is cheapest at group 13, and with an M Sp ...

It's good to drive, desirable, roomy, comfortable and loses value slowly.
