Bad Points: very often gets jammed, and is a pain in to sort out. And changing the bottle can be a pain too.
General comments: Generally its a cool devise and fun to use .. would be handy to have a changeable longer shaft on it to improve the accuracy when required. Really cool and easy to use. Nice smooth action.

I went out to buy a .45 acp but fell in love with this one. I've only range shot with it (indoor&out) but after 3 CASES of bullets, the only thing other than cleaning it needed was the sights re adjusted. As for power.. I destroyed a cinder block with 4 shots... only rubble left. Great gun! Fun to shoot!

I think this gun is totally worth the money and if you look in some gun magazines can find them under 100 pounds, the gun is good fun and is great for just messing around with, but the co2 runs out quite fast so look on the internet and you could get 10 for 3.99.

I had more fun and adequate accuracy with my mates old crossman 8" 'dirty harry' copy. The Umarex 686 .177 seems to have been an over priced disappointment for my planned practice in the garage for NRA action shooting (I use s+w 686 revolvers in open and stock class)
I would like to try it with a modification to connect paintball co2 cylinder supply. With that it would probably rock. Unless it still needs a strap on heater element . . . .

I have owned a few air guns over my life but never a good revolver. So, after reading numerous reviews I decided to purchase the Smith & Wesson 686/6" nickel-plated pistol. I've had this gun now for a little over 1 month and have shot over 1,460 pellets through it. This gun is consistently very accurate with attainable 5 shot 1/4"ctc groups at 20 feet and 5/8"ctc at 30 feet using single action mode from a rest position. At the 30 feet distance, the type and quality of pellet impacted the results ...

You will love the Smith & Wesson 686/6 gun. Some tips that will improve your shooting: watch your sights more than your target ,don't hold your gun to tight and squeese the trigger don't pull, correct your sights as you squeeze and dont be a perfectionist because you will get better with shooting, not correcting!

Since I was a little boy, I loved the famous 357 Magnum...
A few month ago, I bought a S&W 686 6" nickel finish, my dream become reality... Heavy, very good looking, acurate...but 2 problems: 1 the right of the grip was not good finished so the plastic part was mooving, even when you got it in the hand...a little dangerous
2 the cartridge screw and the cartridge lock spring were damaged ( the gun was brand new...)
And one important lack: there is no security in this gun so Danger I fi ...

In my opinion, the Smith & Weston 686/6 is the finest Co2 pistol on the market. It is 100 percent reliable, very accurate, and very well made. It is also probably the most powerful too.
This pistol is simply the best!

The Umarex Smith & Wesson 686 is a high-quality physical and mechanical reproduction of the real revolver. It is a pleasure to shoot and well within acceptable accuracy for that of a pistol (it's not fair to compare it to a rifle because it is a pistol; sometimes people will try to use that non sequitur to compare them anyway). The free moulded carrying case is well thought out. It protects the gun with a decent amount of padding and has brilliant cut-outs for a pellet tin and 2 CO2 powerlets.

This is a fantastic gun. Mine came in a nice padded case with just the 4" barrel, a can of nice pellets, some co2, extra cylinders, a tool for removing the barrel and front sights for the different barrels. It also has a barrel brush that I think is for dislodging jammed pellets. This gun is a blast for target shooting, ridding the world of starlings, or just general plinking. It gets about 50-60 good shots out of one co2 cartridge, which makes a satisfying popping sound. It's an exact copy ...

I have the combined box set. This comes with 3 barrel lengths. 4" 6" & 8". All lengths perform well, but my favourite is the 6".
Great accuracy & constistant co2 pressure for virually 50 shots. I use only Accupell pellets. They give good impact and are very accurate for target shooting. My powerlets of choice is the Crosman.
The nickel finish on the gun is just the best. My only gripe is that I would like better grips, but none are available.
All in all a very good package, that I would recom ...

The 686 is a top quality pistol. Although not ideal for competition it is definitetly one of the best for formal target practice. Personally i have the 8" version but the 6" is a little more practical in the sense that it is lighter and just as accurate over the standard pistol range of about 30ft. The handling is absolutely perfect, it holds a whole 10 shots and the air regulator is well sized so you get plenty of power and no slow run down of the canister so 90% of your shots are of a decent c ...

The Smith and Wesson 686 CO2 pistol is a very good gun. Very efficient for shooting at 10 metres, good balance.
