Good Points: Amazing Sound
Good length wires
Everything you need is supplied
Bad Points: Large Amp (Receiver)
Not easy to set up (if you dont know what youre doing)
General comments: Having just installed this system, I thought i needed to write about how amazing it is. I have just listened to attack of the clones only for about 20 minutes but the sound is so impressive. The full surrond simply makes me laugh out in joy, and also makes you wonder how you ever survived without it!
I also have a gamecube and have just set it up with this playing star wars also (im not a geek honest!) which too sounds amazing.
Quick technical stuff
Coaxial and Optical inputs, dolby digital 5.1 and pro logic (not sure if it has pro logic 2, but the gamecube uses 2 and it still sounds great)
I think the worst thing about this system is that if you were not used to setting up electrical systems (things like videos and dvd players) then this could prove hard, as in typical sony style the manual is pretty lame. I couldnt work out how to sort out the coaxial input at first, it mentioned nothing of how to actually do it. The option was in my dvd manual which was sepearte.
I could go on all day but if you do have any questions email me at jaz_uk1@hotmail.com and as i know i needed help i will try to give you some advice.
This retails for £370 odd in shops but i got it from hotkit.co.uk for £199, free delivery. They shipped it so fast. Its almost end of the line now so get it fast!

A new-ish phenomenon in home cinema is the out-of-the-box amp and speaker system - but with no DVD included, as would be the case with e.g. the Sony DAVS500 or 800. This is ideal if you want to move from having a DVD player and Nicam TV into 'proper' home cinema, without going bonkers on the money front. The HTDDW740S can be found for around the £300-£350 mark and includes a Sony STRDE485 receiver amp, 5 decent speakers and an active subwoofer. It's quite easy to set up and makes a ...- Read Swanny's review (349 words)
