Ive got this SMK B2 .177 rifle with open sights and have had it a while now. It easily puts a hole straight through a can of guiness at thirty yards. if you are having trouble shooting accuratley dont try and blame the gun, judging by my own experience of this rifle, its probably you.

this SMK B2.177 rifle is rubbish. ok it was only £30 but the finish is terrible and the trigger is really stiff its difficult to shoot consistantly with the thing.
it is not powerfull prob bout 8 ft/lbs if your lucky.
it is ok at 20 yards hitting tin cans but thats about all its ok for. trouble is cause the trigger is so bad my young sons seem to have got disheartened with it and prefer to use my xs19 which is a big improvement and deff worth paying the extra for.

I got this SMK B2.177 gun just b4 last xmas. I used it on xmas and boxing day in my uncles back garden with my dad, grandad, uncle and cousin. we had a great time shooting tagets. This gun is great for plinking in the back garden. It decimated beer bottles, beer cans and aerosol cans. If people want a more accurate better finished gun, then buy a more upmarket 1. If u want to shoot stuff and have a laff then buy this. For the price it's fantastic value 4 money.

SMK B2.177 is a great gun is you are just starting shooting as you just need some pellets and off you go. This is a very good gun if you want a gun that will shoot consistantly and accuratly and also if you don't have much money. i got mine for only £39. This gun is quite heavy and if you are not shooting on support then your accuracy will suffer.

The SMK B2.177 is accurate when fitted with a 4x20 can hit unwanted christmas decorations from about 20 yards, the only bad points really are the bad finish on the stock and the heavy trigger. but this rifle is very good for the money . great for plinking!

Very accurate even with 4x20 scope although it's got a heavy trigger and the stock finish isn't that good.

Had this rifle for many years and dropped many birds from 30-40 yards away. It was very accurate and pellet power in .22 was good enough to drop a pigeon up to 80 yards away, of course with a rainbow shot. I preferred this rifle to all .177(4.5mm) rifles I owned before.

An impulse buy...when I opened the box I was horrified by the appalling finish. The stock was quite unspeakable. The steel parts are roughly, though accurately, machined, leaving plenty of sharp edges in some places. But the steel is surprisingly well-blued. It dieselled like mad at first and I couldn't hit a barn door with it. The trigger was extremely heavy, which didn't help. So I stripped the stock, reshaped it with a rasp, filled in the cracks and knot-holes, then stained it and oiled it. F ...

Weight is about 3 kG . Finish is a deep chocolate brown All round a good plinker. For the price you will not get a better low budget rifle. I have had mine a year use it regular up the woods for target card practice with no problems. I have land owners written permission to shoot there just in case some one was to call the police who I have registered with I'm covered even with Insurance.

If you're new to air rifles I think a B2 is a great introduction, I went for the 177 due to better accuracy but it probably wouldn't really be noticeable, it's nicely made for 20 quid and I'd definitely recommend it!

I used my friends SMK B2 22 caliber for a bit and made me want one for myself but having read reviews of flatter trajectory with 177 rifles i thought I'd go for the 177. When it arrived, having never owned an air rifle before i was initially impressed with the solid good weight it had and initially build quality seemed good. However when i started to use it after zeroing in my 3-9 x 40 scope as much as possible i found i had a grouping of around 10-15cm at 20m which i wasn't impressed with!!! ( ...

I got the B2 Custom stock version for 35 quid from www.airshooter.co.uk. It arrived within 2 days, excellent.

The custom stock is worth the extra tenner but not much more. It would simply not be worth the 50 quid some places are charging for it. The wood looks good however the chequered patterns leave a lot to be desired for as the paint on them isn't great.

Out the box the gun was shooting horribly with iron sights. I did the following things to it:

    Cleaned out the gun
    Cleaned out the ...

Great gun, very accurate and as powerful
As anything within the U.K. law .
Don't listen to bad reports by people
    Who haven't even handled one,
    Try for yourself,as I have,
And make up your own mind.
If you want a reasonably priced hunting gun
You won't be disappointed,if you do your part,
i.e point it in in the right direction,
Be assured the gun will do it's part too,
    If you hit your quarry,
It will be goodnight Vienna. :-)

The SMK B2 was my first air rifle, and i don't see myself getting another one. It's brilliant! I got a 4x32 scope which helps with the aiming, but iron sights that are already on the gun are as accurate as you like. Powerful enough to smash straight through tins and cans at 30 yard without even moving them. I found to my pleasure that it is powerful enough to punch a hefts hole in a crows head, killing it almost instantly. Great gun and very cheap!

I bought my SMK B2 2.2 a week ago along with a set of SMK 4x20 scopes as a first rifle and was very pleased with it. After a weekend of shooting i found it easily handled pigeons and the odd rabbit at close to medium range but then the cocking mechanism jammed and would not return, i returned it to the shop and the seller said he hadn't heard of one jamming before as they were a popular rifle, must be my luck! He replaced the rifle and as yet no problems. a nice gun for beginners and youngsters ...
