Good Points: Fantastic imagination, very funny, some hilarious comparisons (Cannot write them right now), just a good book.

Bad Points: Sometimes, if younger people might like to take a shot at it, it can possibly be a little hard to follow. There really is no real reason that Rincewind and Twoflower went to the temple of Bel Shamagorath (or something like that).

General comments: I thought Terry Pratchett, The Colour of Magic was a very enjoyable book. I felt that at times, it went a bit off and it was hard to follow, but when it gets better, it's a very, very, very good book indeed. I feel that the general audience should be from about 15-17 onwards. I'm doing a review for it at school at the moment and think this may be good practice. But I agree with "Guest" if there are any fantasy fans who might want a change, read it. It's a fantasy/comedy/roman...nah/action/etc. It can be very gripping at times like when their being chased by dragons near Wyrmberg. That's very well wirtten, but it's a well written book in general and I give praise to Terry Pratchett and congratulate him on being so successful, and you probably know why.

The Colour of Magic is an incredible comic fantasy novel that is written by one of Britain's greatest authors. It's light-hearted humour makes it a very comfortable read at the end of the day, featuring the likes of such characters as Rincewind the Wizard and Twoflour the tourist as well as the ambulatory Luggage.
Anyone who enjoys fantasy and wants a bit of a change, read this.

Terry Pratchett, The Colour of Magic (A Discworld Novel - Terry Pratchett's really mad (in a good sense) to make a book like this. Anyways, I appreciate him very much as a writer. He cast a spell on me with this book-as it's the first of his books that I've read. It takes a lot of imagination to write this; don't be surprised if you meet some crazy and unlogical things such as the walking chest...got quite a laugh there... Pratchett's book's main function is humour, or at least that's the way I ...
