“I bought this Gamo Multishot looking for a cheap...”

I bought this Gamo Multishot looking for a cheap muti-shot air rifle mainly for plinking and practice target shooting in the backyard. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised.
It's not as accurate as my other higher priced rifles but it's not bad. I'm not a great shot and can group 5 shots at 15 yards in less than 1.0". I hope this will improve once it's broken in. I'm sure many of you can do better if you were shoot this rifle. I'm using the BSA 4x32 scope that it came with... (read more)

I bought two copies of this Gamo Multishot air rifle and ended up returning both. Both had horrible accuracy. About 4" groups at 15 yards ( with scope). I even tried a variety of pellets. Plus the multishot cyclinder doesn't always rotate so sometime you shoot a blank blast of air. Occasionally, the pellets even got jammed or misaligned in the cylinder. (read more)

I hardily agree, the Gamo Multi Shot Air Rifle is VERY INACCURRATE and the pellets jam in the magazine and very quickly makes the magazine unusable.(theres another $17.00 wasted. I've personally gone through three magazines in about 700 shots. And yes the magazine does not always advance. I blame the material used (plastic). Seems to me that the material used in the magazine should be upgraded to a fully steel and/or brass magazine that does not wear out so fast. Three magazines in 700 shots is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!

Accuracy... the only way I improved the accuracy was to install a very heavy scope with a full length four bolt fastener and add lead weight to the interior of the stock to reduce the recoil and improve stability. What is missing is a pinning device that will pin the scope to the top of the rifle and prevent forward to backward movement of the scope.

Rear sight: I found the rear site extremely dissapointing in that even after jacking the rear sight all the way up, it still shot low.

I would be interested if anyone knows of a metal and or brass magazine is available for this model. Either from Gamo or a third party. Why am I asking the general public? All in all the IDEA of a MULTI SHOT IS GOOD, but the product in my opinion is very poor quality, and obtaining information from Gamo is next to impossible.

I first bought this gamo multishot rifle because I wanted something to hunt birds with and did not want to be fumbling for pellets all the time. I could not afford some of the other multi-shot springers/gas rams out there so I settled on the Gamo brand. I thought I was going to be very dissapointed, well with all that is out there BSA Theoben.
But when I first held it, I thought what a flimsy peice of cr@p! Then I shot it! Nice, very nice in fact nice grouping and I bought it used! Ohh... (read more)

I agree with this guy more so than the others on this gun, you DO have to be a bit particular loading the rotary magazine, but I've tried about four different kinds of pellets, and although the Beeman Wadcutters fall out ,pointed, and Hollowpoints work nicely and where can you find ANY multishot to do that.. its a nice gun, its jammed a few times, but I've put about 300 rounds through it and jammed maybe three times, with no destruction of the clip..(Rotate the clip a few clicks after loading) would like to buy a few extra however, pretty darn accurate also from 70 feet, (most room I have to shoot) no complaints, would recommend, $169.00 with decent scope here in Michigan

Over all it a great gun for the money. ($169.00 with scope) Its well made and accurate enough for plinking and hunting small varmints like Squirrels,Rats maybe even crows at short range. The claimed 750fps seems to be an Accurate claim for it power rating. Its definitly shoting at least 750fps (by my experince seeing pellets penatrate wood planks) it definitly up to the claimed power
If you want a good gun for under $200.00 with a great scope
That you dont have to load after each cock this... (read more)

Gamo says .25 @ 30 yards. I've screwed the rear sight nearly off the post and it still shoots low. Doubt if I get 10" at 30' from a rest. I sent an email to GAMO and got no reply. Sent a second request and it came back with server error at their end. Called and after waiting got to leave a message. I'm sending a fax...stand by. (read more)

Gamo's customer service does leave a lot to be desired. Nice website, but if you can't back it up by handling customer questions and complaints adequately, why even bother mentioning your emailadress. I got the same problems when I wanted to know if the leaking on my Gamo Auto 45 self loading air pistol was normal.

In a perfect world everything would fall in line. You would be able to shoot .20 with any pellet at 35 yards. You would be able to adjust your rear sight the 1st time everytime. Most people find that adding a scope gets them better accuracy and finding a pellet type the guns shoots well, helps. This true with even powder burning rifles.

You have to practice and research what works well with your rifle.

It really sounds like you didn't give the gun a chance. Remember just because the factory states that the rifle to shoots .20-.25 doesn't mean that you can do it without practice.

Its you and the rifle practicing that to make accurate shots.

I purchased the rifle for open sight work and do not expect MOA accuracy but something reasonable. My testing was done on the bench at 30 yards.
The Gammo Multishot is a loser in my mind and Gammo's customer service is non existent.

I am looking for my second air gun. I am cutting my teeth on Crosman RM277. The gamo is a multishot or repeater? I see no real advantage of having to cock each time you fire. You seem impressed but you fail to let me know what about the rifle impresses you. Enlighten me.
