“JUST DON'T.”

JUST DON'T. Nearly £800 later and we're in dispute with the firm and claiming back from the credit card company. Guy turned up late for pickup, could not read his own satnav on the trip to the resort, resulting in three of us having to direct him and prove that Google Maps knew a bit more than he did (he just kept wanting to go through a particular town even though the route was around it, so we went back and forth about four times through the same area, in complete opposition to the directions). But the best is yet to come... ...they did not turn up for the pickup to leave the country. Brilliant. Had a massive row on the phone with them and the guy just kept repeating (rudely) that we were on our own since we "were a no-show". Incredible. Had been waiting there for fifteen minutes, no tyre tracks in the fresh snow on the apartment driveway (photos taken as proof), email proof from the apartment owner who had been out there for half an hour clearing snow from a different area and saw no vehicles arrive, phone logs screenshotted as proof that no call made to us until after we called them to find out where the driver was, a poor excuse given about the driver having been there 40 minutes BEFORE pickup due time (why would we even have been downstairs at that point??) so he turned around, blah blah blah. Long and short - they couldn't find the resort on the way out and CBA to pick us up on the return. Even have an email confirming the pickup. Just didn't show. Upshot? Two more days added to the trip with additional expenses that these guys are now getting billed for. Book someone else if you value your holiday.

“Unsafe”

Without doubt the most unsafe I have felt on an airport transfer. The driver couldn’t adjust his chair properly so drove while speaking into a hand held mobile phone while also trying to ram his seat backwards. Once he gave up on the seat adjustment he made double quick time to Las Palmas airport, at times more than 30 kmph over the speed limit and weaving across lanes. If you value your life, I’d avoid this outfit.

“Never Arrived ”

Never arrived for our return flight to ARRECIFE airport. We waited 10 mins past stated time. Rang 24 hr lime.Un co operable as said taxi waited and would not sent one but no taxi came and we were their 15 mins before.Had to pay for local taxi. A terrible company and no refund.Do not use

“Terrible company - families avoid”

This is a terrible company. Driver was more than 30 mins late with no communication. He turned up without any car seats we had ordered months in advance and drove dangerously despite having two babies on board without car seats. I contacted the company by email to ensure car seats for the return journey as we had ordered and to advise re driver's lateness and driving. I did so with the intention of cancelling the return journey if assurances couldn't be given. I received no response and had to call during my holiday. I was advised car seats could not be guaranteed despite having been paid for and they couldn't guarantee the driver wouldn't be late again or drive safely. I opted to cancel and book elsewhere and was advised I wouldn't get a refund as it was less than 48 hours notice (despite the email being days previous). They also have a policy you can't speak to a manager on the phone. Avoid.

“Awful”

Don’t use them absolute nightmare! Late for arrival we were the only ones left waiting to be collected from our flight so had to call and chase. When due to leave to come home early morning 5am, failed to show! Called them and they apologised and said Transport Manager confirmed they are 5 mins away. 10 mins later another call was told that, Transport Manager previously gave incorrect advice and now 7 mins! Still nothing was 35 mins by the time got Uber which was a complete stress that time in the morning! Was told would get email confirmation after 3rd no show to say will be refunded. No email no refund and now chasing. Day light robbers!

“Such a disappointing experience with Zip Transfer”

Having used Zip Transfers numerous times over the years our experience this time was horrific. Despite confirming on the morning, 13 of us were left standing outside our hotel chasing the transfer. Extremely stressful, involved numerous calls, incorrect information and being fobbed off by the call handler. No apology.

“Avoid. Total nightmare company ”

AVOID!! Do not call them. We needed a ride from the airport at 1 am in Barcelona. Never had been before and didn’t know our way around. Everyone else’s pick up was there at the gate as they should be. Ours couldn’t be found. We called and were told several times he was there and to wait. We waited..and waited.. he didn’t arrive for 40 minutes. That’s an eternity after a long flight. Then we spent the next 10 minutes looking for his car because he got lost. If we had taken a taxi, we would have been in the hotel by the time he found us in the airport. It took him 40 minutes in the middle of the night with no traffic to get us to the hotel. It’s a 16 minute drive normally. When he couldn’t find the hotel, he tried to convince us a church was the hotel. Luckily we were able to show him where the hotel was. We didn’t get to the hotel until 3 am. It was a nightmare. When I complained, they offered me 15% off our next ride. I wouldn’t even take a free ride in the future. Terrible business.

“***AVOID*** Left us stranded in resort! ”

On Thursday 29th June 2023 Zip transfer left our party of 6 plus luggage stranded in resort at 04:20; yes in the morning! Their response on their ‘emergency number’ we can’t reach the driver and have no way of getting you to the airport, we are sorry! In the end we managed to get three taxis costing us a fortune on top of the transfer cost. The money is of course a factor, but for us this review is more about highlighting that this firm were OK to leave a party stranded with no assistance; utterly disgraceful. One member of our party was elderly with mobility issues and therefore not able to rush when at the airport to get to the flight! We were very late on arrival to the airport & at one point we weren’t sure if the airline would accept us; very stressful and unnecessary. You book a transfer to give you peace of mind, especially with a large party. My advice would be NEVER to use this firm, unless you want to run the risk of missing your flight with no help or support in finding alternative transportation.

“Didnt turn up”

On holiday in Verona italy. Picked up on arrival with no problems. The return was different as they didnt turn up. Called the 24/7 emergency telephone number, which was in Spain, which went to answer phone saying "No one available, try again later" Not a great help. Contacted them from the UK, they apologiesed. Refunded the return journey which was less then than the original cost.

“Use at your peril”

Arranged airport transfer Zurich to Ski resort months in advance and checked twice all in order- driver was no show and ZT emergency number useless. The guy had no details of the driver or the provider and the coordinator who did was AWOL. We were advised to make our own way. Forced to get an airport taxi 150km. Customer service was appalling, if you have a complaint you can’t speak to anyone only email, and they just deny any responsibility and gave me the provider details to chase for compensation. They said there was a mix up with the communication with Zip and driver went to wrong place. - not clear what actually happened. Zip Transfer pointed me to their terms and conditions which basically say they can’t be held responsible for anything at all. This company hasn’t got any working back up mechanisms to deal with problems or no- show situations and also fined the provider. The customer service is appalling They just rake in the cash and the customer is screwed if they get anything wrong. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

“Unreliable service”

Booked zip transfers for a pickup at Edinburgh Airport. There was noone there to pick up meor my child, when I eventually got through to helpline, I was told they forgot and I could book a taxi if I wanted. I has paid for the service and that was the reply I got. Steer clear of zip transfers, they are highly unreliable!! Almost forgot to add when we did get picked eventually we had to make our way out to a pickup area with no help with our suitcases.

“AVOID!! Overpriced and Unprofessional”

I used this company to book a 6 seater car from the airport in Tenerife to the villa we had, back in June, but not travelling until August. I keyed in the full postal address I was given and the website then gives you a drop down option of the local town to select. I chose Adeje as this is what was in the address. They came back with a price of €74 round trip, which felt on the high side but broadly aligned with expectation. We paid and confirmed this and didn't hear anything back until 2 days before we were due to fly, stating that they couldn't pick us up on the return trip from our villa and we had to walk 5 minutes down the road to a different location with our luggage. Not ideal but we had little choice. We got to the airport in Manchester at 4.30am waiting in the lounge for the 7am flight and by chance I checked my email. They had sent a further email saying that the location is wrong and the price is understated and wont be picking us up. Even though I said I selected the address of the villa they demanded a further €70 on top of the €74 already paid for what turned out to be an extra 2 minute journey. But with us not knowing we were not happy but trusted there local knowledge and assumed it was quite a difference away given such a large price increase. Having used taxis for the full holiday we did this additional trip daily and it was around €1-2 extra and certainly not €70. We even asked local taxi firms and they said €25-30 should be the cost from villa to airport and not €144 round trip that this company charged. I contacted them when I got home and flagged using maps how this must be an error and perhaps they had charged us twice in error. They blankly refused and said that was the price we had to pay and they would do nothing further in the matter. Please avoid this company at all costs and look elsewhere or use local taxis in Tenerife.

“Worse than awful!”

Prior to a European vacation I booked two round trip transfers with ZipTransfers. The first leg was supposed to be at the Barcelona, Spain cruise port. The driver never showed. Four adults looked time and time again for twenty minutes past the due time. The company insisted he was there. YEAH RIGHT. The second leg from Barcelona to the airport, I canceled myself due to the poor service at the cruise port. It was within their cancellation period. Numerous emails to obtain a refund were fruitless. Nevertheless, I decided to give them another chance. The second round trip booked in advance was to be from Milan, Italy Malpensa Airport to Como. The day before it was scheduled, the company contacted me to cancel due to “supply chain disruptions”. They told me a refund was being processed. They canceled on me! No refund has been received. Fortunately, my credit card company has stepped in and credited my account. This was my experience. You be the judge.

“To be avoided”

Very very bad service! They left us at 06.00 am with 4 kids to wait for the transfer and the driver did’t show up. I had to call them and they did’t even know what is happening, although they are responsible for this. We almost lost our flight. Not recommend!!!

“Families with babies, stay away!”

The transfer to the hotel was OK, but on the way back the driver (coming 15 minutes late) arrived without the baby set which we booked and paid for in advance. They were unwilling to solve the issue, super arrogant, and were actually shouting at me on the phone. They just told us "you can have the baby on your lap, the driver will go slowly". We obviously decided to reject this proposal and ask the hotel reception to call us a private taxi. I was still not able to get the refund from ZIPTRANSFER as they promised they would give me, only gave me 12 EUR for the baby seat but did refund us for the trip which we did not take (because of the missing baby seat). Just a note, the private taxi arrived in 5 minutes with a baby seat, and in the end, it was even cheaper than ZIPTRANSFER (89 EUR Cala Millor to Palma with a baby seat).

Do NOT use zip transfers! The lugages were delaied and the driver did not wait for us for 10 or 15 more minutes.It happened in Malaga. We were in the middle of the night with small children, the driver didn t wait and we got no refund! The worst experience! Shame!

“Don’t even bother ”

Upon arrival at TFS I was greeted by a driver with my name on a board which is great, however the good things didn’t last very long. I walked to the minibus provided and continued to sit inside with the doors closed and no air for around 10 minutes whist then driver was using his mobile phone, presumably to search for my destination. Although my journey should have only taken around 10 minutes, it was all together around 40 minutes as the driver had no idea where my destination was, and I had to provide numerous directions. Then, whilst waiting for my return transfer to arrive, I kept looking at my watch, only to wait 20 minutes past my collection time for NO DRIVER OR VEHICLE TO TURN UP. The reception at my accommodation kindly telephoned zip transfers to find out what was happening, to be told that she would get a call back, which she did not receive. I then had to get another taxi to the airport so I would not miss my flight. The service was dreadful and the failure to pick me up for my return was even worse. AVOID THIS COMPANY, THEY THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY, DON’T PICK YOU UP, NO COMMUNICATION AND NO REFUND.

At Singapore Airport the driver was waiting in the arrivals hall, after customs etc,with a sign with the booking persons name on.Easy and reliable. A 24/7 assistance number was supplied with booking..

Avoid at all costs. I found zip transfers expensive and unreliable. They failed to arrive and then blamed a local taxi firm. Other operators are far cheaper and actually bother to turn up!!

As anyone usd zip from Palma airport to calas de Mallorca ? I've got a family of 11 to book for 3 children and have read mixed reviews I usually use suntransfers but these have come £45 cheaper which is great but could also mean not as good service Regards

We attempted to use them last year. We booked our transfer over a week before we were due to travel and less than 12 hours before we were due to department from the UK we received a phone call telling us that our booking had been cancelled due to a lack of driver!! We were given no alternative transfer options, no compensation and no real apology even though I emailed a complaint as soon as we returned from our holiday. I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole, but good luck if you do decide to use them.

I would advise you to give this company a wide berth. We booked our holiday transfer a week before we were due to depart. Less than 12 hours before leaving for the airport we got a call from Spain telling us that our transfer had been cancelled - no explanation nothing! I complained via email to Zip Transfers and to this day, more than 6 months later we have still had no acknowledgement, apology, nothing. Use someone else, you'd be glad you did. Good Luck.

The website will allow you to believe you can select the vehicle size,space & configuration in advance. As was my experience,when I arrived nothing could be further from reality. Pandemonium ensued as they made a phonecall then we waited until whichever random vehicle with enough seats arrived. Not at all like I had ordered,ill equipped. Will not be using them ever again.

When I used Zip last year, they emailed me to let me know exactly where the driver would be waiting...he will be in the arrivals area with your name on a card....hope this helps.

When you get to the airport the taxi driver will be in the arrivals hall with a name board , so very simple :)

After collecting your bags from the carousel if you have bags checked in,proceed to arrivals hall where the driver will be waiting for you with the persons name on a board usually the surname of the person who booked the service will be displayed hope this helped

that should be possible. if you select 'Amsterdam cruiseport 'from the drop down menu then select 'from other destinations' you should be able to enter the hotel address on the next page.

Ye they are non smoking but there is a smoking area outside airport, 1 of our party had a smoke before we left and the driver was happy to hold on while he did so

Unfortunately in my experience you will not receive a refund. I know this is hard to comprehend as the people did appear friendly and helpful but their customer approach with respect to giving money back is diabolical. To not offer a refund is tantamount to theft in my eyes. I hope you have more luck than I did.

I cannot say that this is a situation I have experienced with this company. In the past any issues which have arisen when I have used them (4 times now) they have dealt with quickly and professionally but I've never been in the position of asking for my money back from them. I assume you contacted them on the day when your taxi failed to appear at the stated time?
